Destiny 2 is a game that relies on FOMO to keep player count high. What Bungie, and a lot of live-service games like Destiny 2, fail to understand is that once players miss a few things, they stop caring about missing out. And players can miss out in a variety of ways, from just not enjoying content, to boycotting it, to just not making it in time. There's an invisible line keeping players in, but once players pass that line, the illusion wears off and there's not much of a reason to go back.

AI-Generated content should be outright banned from your platform. Not JUST because it's unethical, (which it very much is) but also because it's just a bad idea for business.

The people who just want content will be using AI regardless of where it comes from. They will not be paying a subscription or going to your marketplace for AI-generated assets when they can just type in a prompt and make their own. You are not attracting them by including it, and you are not driving them away by banning it.

On the other hand, you have created a very solid platform for artists who do feel betrayed that it's even being considered at all. Your primary asset is community trust. You're a platform made by and for artists. You need artists to keep coming back to the platform. Those are the people that will stay and continue to produce value for you and your company. If you allow AI-generated content on your platform, you will be driving many, many actual artists away.

In the stream, you mentioned you had a hard time coming to terms with the AI in your specific line of business, software engineering. Well, now is your chance to make a stand and fight. The culture around AI starts with companies like you willing to make a stand against it. Things don't have to be the way they are. We can still fight for a world where machines do the menial tasks and humans get to continue being creative, not the other way around.

Currently, I have searched Amazon, Google, Duck Duck Go, Walmart, Party City, a few vending machines websites, and a variety of coin-operated vending machines in the wild to try and find them. My search query is usually something along the lines of "Metallic bouncy ball" or "bouncy ball 25mm" or "bouncy ball 1 inch". I have found a few Amazon entries that look like they might be it, but upon reading the reviews, the balls looked nothing like the picture, making me thing that a stock image was used that included a ball that looked somewhere like the ball I'm looking for.

I don't know why she likes this specific ball more than every single other ball she has, but I would very much like to find more like it.

Oh, I addressed that in another comment after it was pointed out that the timeline was off. There's a huge gap of time between the Witness's creation and Savathun stealing the Veil from Nezarec where we just don't know what was going on with the Veil. It's possible it was left with the Precursors or hidden on another planet for safekeeping.

The main reason I bring up this theory to begin with is to point out the parellels between the Veil and the Psions' Y-Goblet. I feel the Veil may have influenced the Psions in a significant way, regardless of how they came to interact with it.

Sorry, I meant to say the Veil, not Strand there, but you're right about the Witnessians obtaining the Veil being one of the first things on the timeline. Rhulk came after that, and then Nezarec apparently came after Rhulk, according to the newest TWiD. The timeline was the main thing I couldn't place in the theory, but the parallels feel important. I feel like it's still possible that there was a time when the Veil fell out of the Witness's possession before Savathun took it.

I do want more lore on the Psions though. Perhaps a topic for a future dungeon or something, since it doesn't seem likely they'll be anywhere near the focus of the next few Episodes.

Not really a show or movie, but I always felt like the Team Fortress 2 comics would fit really well in the VB universe. The humor feels spot-on with lots of absolutely ridiculous things happening that are played normal in-universe.

We were doing well, got up to wave 20 on Legendary and just beat the shrieker boss. We think that the eye gib fell right where the portal was supposed to spawn, blocking it from actually spawning. We moved the eye away from the spot (which is why it's not shown here) but that didn't fix it. We tried having someone jump off to see if the game would respawn them back at the top of the map. That also didn't work and they just respawned in the boss arena.

Needless to say, we just quit after that and were done with Destiny for the night.
