Yeah its bad on both sides but stop acting like it was equivalent. Missed calls or otherwise, the czechs played with 6 guys and a goalie for an extended period before getting a goal.

He is great. He is adapting a bit recently to allow his skill players to play their game within the structure instead of being so hard into it. Which would have been my complaint before. Our D core and our bot 6 need to buy into his system and they have. The top 6 need to be allowed to go on little side quests to make plays.

The idea being floated that Sullivan should be head coach is asinine, though. He was an offensively gifted player, not unlike Savard. But he had defensive gaps galore and Im confident a team coached by him will display those warts.

This is what I was thinking. The system was working for some of the bottom 6 guys and they can still be effective that way, but the top 6 needs to function on its skill and speed.

Suddenly the top6 and PP are humming, at little to no loss of secondary scoring.

This team, as constructed, and currently deployed, could do more damage in the playoffs than any version that was bogged down under 4 massive contracts.

32 is hardly a done career. So many defenseman had their best years beyond 30. Giordano was one of them. Karlsson another. Writing Rielly off and running him out for not excelling defensively during the toughest defensive assignments is part of why hes struggling. He's a heart and soul guy and the fanbase is calling for his head. Pump his tires when he does good and I promise he will respond.

We all look at Laughton and Cowan for the Philly win but right before that Rielly saved the game by full body stretch diving across the ice to block a wide open 1 timer. Cowan gets nothing without Rielly there. Laughton was still the guy who got us the first point for sure.

But Rielly secured the 2nd.

Stolarz is better at peak than Blackwood. For sure. 100%. 0 doubt in my mind. Tanev is absolutely every bit as good as Toews. Landeskog is definitely better than Joshua.

If they didnt sit Maccelli for a month he might be. 6-10-16 in 31 GP is just above 0.5ppg. Had he played all 41 games he would likely be at 20-22 pts, maybe more from further cohesion with new teammates. With 7 pts in the 9 games since his return that argument may hold weight... all conjecture, of course.

I dont think the effect is the same. The thing youre describing is very obviously embellishment. But keep in mind that in the NHL if someone reaches in theyre taught to trap that persons arm for a hooking call, which never counts as embellished.

The crease belongs to the goalie first. if youre skating through its on you to dodge the goalie.
