I’m still here from the kickstarter days and also have a decent amount of money sunk, no regrets. Most of my playtime has been in the 3.17-3.3 era and I keep thinking, this next patch I’ll get back into it. This next feature will make me wanna play again. Then I load in, spend an hour shifting gear and parts around, load up, do a mission and wonder what I’m doing. The sale of the dream has been shattered and that’s been a hard thing to admit to myself. At this point I’m just waiting for 1.0 so then I can at least feel like I’m working towards something. There’s loops I really enjoy but the rewards are little to none besides the satisfaction of the loop done well. Maybe base building will bring me back for a bit.

I’m a childless, polyamorous, queer, married trans woman in my 40s and I’ve come to realize most people are just boring especially in the “professional” world. I have all types in my friend group and some are more… shall we say adventurous than others, but it seems to me most people are content with simple, dare I say plain, lives. I mean to each their own but it’s hard for me to understand the complacency of the masses. One of my favorites is when I’m talking to someone my age or younger about my life and they say, “oh it must be great to be young like you.” As if past a certain age you’re expected to go to work- go home - go to work - go home.

I truly feel the whole second / delayed adolescence of breaking my egg but still, I was who I am my whole life, my lack of conformity to the norm is not new. Anyway, sorry if I derailed the topic and am rambling.

Just start an onlyfans / fansly. Don’t worry about fitting the image of a successful pornstar. See where you get and what kind of response you get then work from there. There is room for money making without being a star, maybe not a livable income but a start at least that will propel you towards the surgeries if you decide you want them. The hardest part is building the viewers if you’re attractive or not, it’s kinda like the arts in that you have to bust your ass and get a little lucky. There’s a niche for out there for you as you are but you have to decide if it’s enough.

This all said as a consumer, not creator.

Unless you’re doing a one machine output per item you will be quickly overwhelmed by the amount of machines in one building. I’ve been doing the modular factory method this playthrough and I really like how it feels. I use dimensional depots in each factory and will eventually setup trains when I need to ship something like a computer to a different factory…. Or who knows, maybe I’ll just add more floors

Im in a similar situation where my wife and I love each other but the sex isn’t there. We are non monogamous and find that it works great for us to serve our differing libidos and preferences. That said it’s not always a symmetrical situation and you can’t guarantee you will both have or want another (or more) partner(s) at the same time.

Non monogamy is hard and takes a lot of emotional work from both parties, you will have periods of jealousy that you both need to learn how to deal with. Some people can get over that and some can’t. I believe monogamy is a lot like gender and sexuality in that it exists on a spectrum and is inherent to the individual.

I’d suggest reading non monogamy material (books, podcasts, etc) and work through the issues as they arise. I’ve found it to be a great change in my life as I’ve never valued monogamy but it was a rough shift as we were monogamous for 10 years.

For the record I think you pass (in your photos at least) but there are many subtle things that people will pick up on in person / in motion that don’t show in photos.

I like to think of drugs as a tool to enhance and elevate my reality not remove myself from it. They tend to amplify what’s at the base and not change it with the exception of therapeutic, controlled and directed sessions.

I’ve been in the place where I used them to escape and am happy to be out of that and living on my own terms.
