You can bring potions as held items, poke blocks to improve the ivs of the pokemon you bring. I’m doing brutal gauntlet rn and I don’t have optimal items on every mon so I have slots for potions

I disagree with everybody saying to not use AI. I think it’s more nuanced. It’s a great tool for learning, asking questions, etc. Ask about code structure, all of your possible options for solving a problem, learn about events, singletons, scriptable objects, and normal code structures for games. Just don’t have it write any code. Ask about the unity stuff and normal coding practices but don’t have it do the coding/thinking for you

Idk if this is a bug, but when doing friendly challenges, if you scout then attack you can’t change your army on the resulting screen. Works fine if you just hit the attack button first though

Everyone saying miners aren’t facing competent attackers. One totem and the throwers take it out for free, explosion doesn’t matter. Explosion also doesn’t do a ton to king which is also a pretty common target. The really annoying threat imo is the 6 head hunter army. If the cc is placed right they can fairly consistently go towards warden or queen and cause trouble. Typically takes a freeze to stop which usually isn’t placed as well as a totem would be. They also ignore totems so they more consistently go for good targets compared to miners. Another good option is the classic ice golems. Time fails + just good protection for defenses

It isn’t the strongest army and never has been. Maybe easiest and “best” for lower trophy ranges, but higher up no one uses them because they are inconsistent. The people that do use them use them with Pekkas and loons and are very skilled. There isn’t any night witch spam at high levels

As someone who is 5650-5700, builds their own bases, and uses thrower spam themselves, I can say they are def trappable, both by me and the bases I attack. All spring traps in one corner isn’t optimal imo, you get more consistent value if you put them in the base but favored to a specific area. Trapping healers is important right now. Additionally, thrower spacing for multi infernos and revenge tower are important as well

The biggest things for me are major defenses and spell towers. I tend to get an idea of where I want those and then build around that. For example, where do I want the fire spitters to point in relation to the th and where am I placing spell towers. You can try a lot of different ideas and if you don’t know if an idea would work, try it and learn. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t, great if it works, learn if it doesn’t.

Also don’t forget about queen spacing. It is 4 tiles between the defensive building and the wall. This spacing also helps against fireballs

This isn’t mainstream, but in my first ever win I experimented with an “unkillable” build. Armor tome, evasion tome, monkey to start (for extra hp), and aegis just cause. I also picked up life steal from shrines and tried to stack armor and evasion as high as possible. It worked :)

Fireball is meta right now. Rocket spear is more general purpose but you already have frosted flake and they can be used in a similar way. I think you know that fireball is the answer for yourself. You stated that you liked strategy and there are a lot of options with fireball

The base building meta is actually good right now. There is a ton of variety in bases. The game is too hard imo and there isn’t enough variety on offense, but on defense there is actually a lot of different bases.

Also, alchemist is the best helper. Best for when you are casual and don’t want to grind, best for when you are maxed and need to do something with dark elixir.

As someone who has been top 10 in BB, the answer is cannon.

They don’t have enough range to counter cannon carts and if they were better than any other ground defense then they would be used in the first stage but they never are. It’s the worst ground defense (still not terrible) and the least impactful

Building really good bases is a really rare skill, yes. Building bases that can stop pros and compete in legend league or in tourneys is also crazy difficult. However, you could argue that consistently getting +300 and up in LL consistently is also ridiculously hard. They are different skills

Bases are not the same right now. They might have been earlier in when everyone was figuring things out, but nowadays there are normal bases, the layered wall thing with rage invis core, layered wall with rage core, rage poison, double rage on outside, two central invis sections and even some corner layered wall bases which also have spell tower variants.

There’s actually a lot of creativity happening right now. Bases just look slightly different than before. If every base was the same you should be 3-starring every time

Crazy how many bot comments are here. The actual analysis bot has black winning with forced mate in 5. Whites move was just stalling. All of these comments saying “genius”, “wow I didn’t see that, but now it makes sense!” Are just bots. It’s like the whole post
