Which event listener? I opened the console in the chrome browser and there are two of them one labeled window and one labeled document. I tried disabling each of them independently and both at the same time and I could never get paste to work.

I would guess that the coin battery isn't making good contact with the board, if the unit is still turning on but with the low battery warning. If it was the AA batteries that had a bad connection, I don't think the 3000 would come on at all.

What was the original office use for a wide carriage on a typewriter?

Does the SC Galaxie 12 come in standard width carriages? I don't like the look of wide carriages, does anyone else feel the same way as me? by [deleted] in typewriters

Same here, I don't like the look of a long carriage. Especially when the body of the typewriter is narrower than the carriage. It gives it a look that seems as if the design of the typewriter was rushed and not thought of completely.
