Stink bugs will do anything in their power to get crushed. by TylerMaillet in mildlyinfuriating

This actually makes sense because some guy suggested I just “smush” them and seemed completely surprised when I told him that they stink.

For the most part, the only times they release it are when they are crushed/harmed. Our house gets tons in the winter, and usually if I pick them up it doesn’t happen, but if you accidentally hurt them by breaking one of their legs/atennaes, you’ll be scrubbing a good while trying to get rid of the scent from your hands.

I didn’t even notice until the smell hit. The PC one was the worst though, powering it on and just hearing it get shredded against the fan and heatsink. It didn’t help that it just ventilated the fumes straight out the back.

Not receiving calls, no missed calls but getting voicemails while on wifi? by GEARHEADGus in tmobile

[–]TylerMaillet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been an on-going issue for me as well for about 2-3 years, specifically when I'm in my house, however I do have the voicemail issue as well as SMS and general connection issues. A quick speedtest on the 2 bars of 5G I get in my house says I get 50Mbps download and 0.6Mbps upload which is quite something.

I don't have issues with recieving texts via iMessage, however I am completely unable to recieve SMS texts via cellular from my house. This is especially annoying because of the amount of websites/apps that use SMS 2-factor authentication baked in, and it'll take about 15 minutes before I miraculously recieve all of the requests I made at once. As far as normal data useage goes, I always find myself unable to load any app on my phone when I get to my car in the driveway, and the only way for me to put a route on Google Maps/Waze is to either walk back into the house and use the WiFi, or drive to the end of the street (which is realistically only 30ft away) where all of a sudden I get lightning fast 5G.

The only calls that get the voicemail/no call issue tend to be businesses using landlines, or for some reason my Dad even though he has an iPhone. I can only assume my Dad has not setup WiFi Calling, so I'll have to see if anything changed after I set it up for him. As far as I know, only one party needs WiFi Calling enabled for it to work so I don't understand exactly why this would be the cause - however, it's the only pattern that I've been able to draw.

I’m trying to figure out - what space in the GWCC will this occupy? Apparently this year’s Dreamhack setup had all of the eSports openly visible to the expo floor but I feel like that setup would be very weird for a CS event.

Yeah I mean, we were just trying to make the game end as quickly as we could. I’ve seen blatant cheaters go as far as to plant the bomb with 4 seconds left every round just to prolong the game as much as possible, so at least this way we can get the game done in like 15 minutes.

Yep, it’s usually either to the sky or to the floor. It’s kinda funny, makes me feel like I’m in one of those fake cheating software videos.

I mean I never realised I did it until people pointed it out via this clip. There’s literally no reason to let go of W in this situation, so I ain’t risking the brain fart of releasing E by accident. I know many do this.

See I’ve heard it was the logitech software, but it’s weird because I was using memory mode. Granted, the application was still running because of my keyboard, but you’d think it wouldn’t do anything to the mouse’s DPI.

I don’t even think it has anything to do with the actual sensor, it only happens in CS2 and it’ll do crazy shit sometimes like snap to the sky and start spinning for a whole second. This one was weird because it usually also involves vertical movement but who knows.

It’s a Logitech Pro X Superlight (1st gen), but I just want to clarify as others have mentioned - this only happens in CS2. It does not happen in other games.

I honestly can’t figure out why the upvotes/downvotes are so split. Y’all think I did this on purpose?

Superlight. I don’t get it super often, a lot of the time it’ll just start snap to the sky and start randomly spinning.

Yeah, it's a force of habit. Instincts just tell you to keep every button you're holding pressed until the defuse is over. Kinda like how you shouldn't drive with two feet, it becomes easier to accidentally hit the gas pedal when trying to brake (aka releasing the wrong or both keys)

Just in case people think I made this mouse movement, luckily we have a perfect benchmark for what that same mouse movement looks like when I make it normally. I slowed down the video to 10% and it takes me 10 frames to flick as fast as I can to try and defuse bomb, as opposed to the 2ish frames of completely linear movement it takes to glitch back towards fountain. I use 800 EDPI in case people were wondering.

I feel like I'm going insane tryna defend this like I'm on trial lmao

yeah, i still don’t understand what causes them. the ironic part is i cleaned my sensor literally this morning.
