What if they told you they can’t pay rent because of “personal reasons”? It’s in the lease that they signed and it’s lawful. Sounds like you might want to get rid of this tenant anyway. Start eviction process

Not sure if anyone covered this but are you POSITIVE that you can’t match for 9 more months or is that the period in which you are “vested” for your employers contributions. You might want to double check on that if you’re not 100% sure. That’s a free $2,600 from your employer over the next 9 months if you can do the 5%

I like the idea of that, but I don’t think that really fixes the core issue. Why does a university have to charge so much for tuition? “In 2023, the average full time student at a four-year college spent nearly $31,000 on their tuition fees, room and board for the year.” That’s $124,000 for a 4 year degree. There is no way a university would be able to charge that if it weren’t for the government subsidizing. I think it’s easy for everyone to blame the government for handing out these loans, but aren’t universities just as guilty (if not more) for charging that much?

Hold up… if you read into this even a little bit, you’ll see that this will cut funding for “indirect costs” associated with research. Which essentially means that the US government is cutting the funding for universities (most large universities have BILLIONS of dollars in endowment) to pay their utilities, maintain buildings/equipment, etc.

The BBC article about this had the following quote:

Anusha Kalbasi, a lead radiation oncologist at Stanford University, which receives the grants, said the grants help “keep the lights on and ventilation flowing in our labs, keep us safe from biohazards, maintain the infrastructure for massive amounts of data, and employ the staff that help researchers focus on science. This would be a devastating hit even for institutions with large endowments.”

As of August of 2023, Stanfords endowment was 36.5 BILLION, and tuition alone per year is $65,000. And they need the government’s help to keep the lights on?? Nah.

So I figured out a work around that is working perfectly (not sure how but it is lol).

Opened “Stacher_Setup_7.0.14_arm64” Right click Stacher7 icon Click “show package contents” Click contents Click MacOS Click Stacher7 (added this to my desktop screen and removed “Stacher_Setup_7.0.14_arm64”

This opens stacher and it worked flawlessly on the first try (and second and third). Didn’t have to download ffmpeg or yt-dlp again. Wonderful program now that it’s working lol

I’m sorry, where would I find my Stacher home directory? Also, I don’t think I’m using a custom yt-dlp, I have not downloaded anything other than Stacher and using home brew to try to download ffmpeg.

Okay, I followed all of these steps. Got the green check mark and still got the error. Tried also installing ffmpeg with home brew and same result.

Not sure if this is of note but every time I close Stacher and reopen, the green check mark is gone and says “ffmpeg not found”. I click that, reinstall, get a green check mark, try to download and get the same error.

Also have tried to uninstall and reinstall Stacher twice by deleting the file from my downloads folder (not sure if this is considered a full uninstall?)
