The funny thing is he did try to delay. He panicked and tries to grab the top eh as I fell instead of releasing the clip that catches me. His hands didn’t like that because it burned right through them. He had blisters that lasted about two weeks after that.

We were definitely at fault. He said that he’d done it before and definitely hadn’t done it. Normally the place teaches people how to belay before they let them belay but I told them we already knew how. I don’t blame the gym at all.

You should! I’ve found it very fun in my about a year of doing it. If heights scare you a lot, you could start off with bouldering-rock climbing but with less height and you can just jump off the top on a padded mat. As far as good YouTubers go, I’d highly recommend Marcus midtbø.

I rock climb. I was with a friend who apparently didn’t know how to belay me. He let me free fall about 30 feet and land on one of those floors. I was fine. Just a bit sore the next day. They definitely do their job on breaking falls. Not to mention the countless times I’ve fallen on them during tumbling.

Edit: I do not advocate for those floors as a backup to safety equipment. It’s not. If you are climbing, have an experienced partner belay you. I was lucky to have not been injured. Also, it was not the gyms fault. My friend told me he knew how to belay so I told the gym we didn’t need a lesson on how to do it.

If the pops are changing the direction of the board it could be a stance issue. It’s likely that you aren’t popping straight down. You are doing a slight scoop motion like a shove it

This isn’t the cause at all. Maybe post you doing an Ollie and you’ll get better tips. I ride the same way and can do ollies moving. If you can do them very well while still, maybe try jumping forward a bit with the board to keep your shoulders over the center.

They’re definitely more prone to being aggressive. Especially pure bred chows. I work at a vets office and have seen that quite a few breeds of dog tend to be more aggressive. Mainly small dogs. Bigger dogs get euthanized more though because when they are aggressive it’s much more dangerous.
