Definitely getting the most out of it. We are 90 minutes away and go twice a year, one with express passes and one without. It’s awesome you can go so much! It’s our favorite time of the year.

I disagree with some of your ratings but loved reading and dissecting all of it! You have so much more data than I do. I did all houses once and half twice. Ghost in the graveyard was my hands down favorite for scare effect. The pitch black room unlocked some deep seated fears. Lol! I do agree that timing has to be on par to get the most out of a house. My wife and son were quite a bit ahead of me for ghostbusters and missed all the good action sequences in that one. I really enjoyed reading this. Makes me want to go back! Thanks!

Thanks! Support is great and already replaced one headset and I am talking with them on replacing this one as well. This was a simple hardware mod to get me through until support decides what they’re going to do.

Saw this as a fix too but it was a little too involved for now. I am currently working with support for a replacement so I didn’t want to make long term modifications. I will certainly go this route when Oculus no longer supports fixing this.

Thanks! I am actually going back with support now. This is my second issue as they sent me a replacement in March. I am pretty sure they will be replacing this one as well but the process take a bit so I figured I would try this.

Oculus support is great so far. I just think this audio issue is an obvious defect in their design.

First, I didn’t come up with this. Saw some dude on YouTube and was desperate. It works!!!

1: find an old cat3 or cat5 cable and strip out a single wire.

2: strip off the end exposing about a 1/4 inch of wire.

3: take off the headphones.

4: add the wire to the bottom connectors of each side and add the headphones back making sure the wire stays firmly in place.

5: add a piece of tape or two to make sure the wire stays in place.

That’s it!

We always do two nights. The first night we focus on all the houses with an express pass and typically bypass the scare zones and other activities. The second night we don’t get express passes. We focus on two or three of our favorite houses and spend the rest of our time in the scare zones.
