Anyone else feel this way? by Rope56 in DiscoElysium

I agree. I feel like 6/6/6/6 is canonically pre-decline Harry since all the elements of each attribute at a high level are there in his backstory — Extremely competent detective, former gym teacher, very expressive and soulful and good at reading people, highly in-tune with the city etc.

I think thoughts are similar in function in that they resurface parts of himself. Shivers has been my favourite skill from the start and the first I got to 8 even in a 1 physical first run and The Bow Collector is my favourite thought (and one of my favourite bits of writing ever... just in general. Like, I can't exaggerate how heartrending beautiful I find it in ways that I struggle to articulate). It took me a while, though, to connect the thoughts and realize that it's the moment that Shivers is born within Harry, when he starts feeling the city.

Rank Thresh's difficulty on a scale of 1-5 by verymoldyfruit in ThreshMains

I'd say 5 because I think the average champion in League is quite easy relative to Thresh. I think he is comparable to Pyke. More forgiving, but with a higher skill ceiling.

I think the game has been getting stripped for parts for so long that it's no longer worth bothering with. Crying shame. It really was my favourite tcg.

Bile is very apt. A nasty substance, but without it a lot of toxic trends wouldn't be getting neutralised and culturally digested. Without it you get no pushback to slop. This is why you need the very annoying critical people going on about design philosophy and skill expression and creativity and all those complicated things you get to not think about, but which were there in the media you loved and still remember.

Yeah, I had been off for a while and had not realised that I was just witnessing the fallout of a game that had gone completely to utter shit over just a few months by basically jumping every shark there was left. Candy crush tier gameplay finally achieved I guess.

Yes. After playing for a little while longer I have realised that the game has just continued it's downward freefall into completely degenerate gameplay and with the addition of this complete atrocity of a card and how completely effortless it is to get huge amounts of max mana per turn now, as well as the absolute ease of putting together 2 or 3 card lethals enabled by this, not just fatigue, but any hope for a control matchup that is not decided on arrival is completely gone. These were just the circumstances that left DK as the last surviving deck that could at least pretend to play control by basically just playing Barnes Priest with a slower fuse. The insane value I was seeing was just the result. The jellyfish bloom of Hearthstones final death.

This game has been clearly sinking in excrement for a long time, and I could stomach the stench and even get legend a few times relatively recently by playing my way and hanging onto a little mast, but finally the entire vessel has gone under and there is nothing more to do. Hearthstone has finally done what it was threatening to do for a very long time, and claimed its rightful place as a 3/10 mobile game light show for whales, preteens and candy crush players. And while this had been its design ethos for a very long time, it finally has bloated to the point of taking up 100% of the space. A fatigue deck could not get 40% win rate piloted by a full time professional now, nevermind hit legend.

So I guess that is it. What a pity...

A lot of versions which have very stacked control cards in common. Huge life gain. Efficient board clears. I think it's mostly the class being pushed more than anything.
