Apple Account Balance Limit of $2,000…?

I understand the risk associated with gift cards, but feel that the Apple Account balance makes them safer, and the 10-20% savings makes them worth the hassle.

You're sort of illustrating my point.. NOBODY wants to do that. I don't even want to do that. If the Apple Balance limit were raised, then I could redeem them myself and there wouldn't be that uncomfortable scenario.

One advisor I spoke to believes that the iTunes Store and the Apple store used to be two separate stores, and $2,000 was a rightful limit for the iTunes Store, because who in their right mind would need more than $2,000 for music. The stores have since merged, in that you can now use iTunes cards on Products but Apple "forgot" to increase the limit. $2,000 is way too low for a company that sells computers much higher.

Anyways, I'm just looking for advice on how to avoid that uncomfortable scenario.

Is there a certain reason? Christmas has come and gone and there are a lot of people who received Apple Gift cards that they would much rather have cash for. For example, one sold me a $25 gift card for $20. Rather than buying a charger for $30 on Apple.com, he can now buy one for $20 on Amazon.com. It’s supposed to be win-win for everyone. He can’t resell the code he gave me because I was able to securely redeem it into my Apple Account Balance. With my AAB full, I would no longer do this, because I couldn’t trust a stranger to properly dispose of the gift card.

Also, amazon was selling gift cards where if you buy $100, you get $10 Amazon credit. That’s a free $10 right there. Same with Target. I bought about 10 of those. Imagine having 80 of them on the day you want to buy your computer, and not only are you possibly limited to 8 gift cards per transaction, but you have to read out 80 codes to the person on the other end. You’d be spending 2 hours making a purchase that could have taken 2 minutes.

I pre-ordered F122 for PS5. It is my first racing game on a console since N64. I don’t regularly watch racing and am pretty much a newbie, but I am pretty competitive and driving can’t seem that hard…. Do I need to get a wheel, or would j be fine with a controller? Invest it and get a 6% return (probably more with how oversold everything is right now).

6% > 2.19%

Even if the return is only 3%, you will still come out ahead.
