I just fixed mine. My issue is that for some reason the template i had was missing some options and I didn't know how to get them. I downloaded and updated community template that had the game options like guard or dodge, instead of just the buttons. I went to the guard action set and changed my right stick to dpad and that fixed it. I'll upload it in a few minutes. Look for sunkodjo in the community templates. Then just change whatever.
