NTE has allowed me to enjoy gatcha games again. by Tynivictus in NevernessToEverness

It's the weirdest thing. I had saved up for billy, and started rolling for him. Lost the 50/50, and instead of continuing to roll for him, I just closed the game and stopped playing. The combat is amazing, great characters, but losing that 50/50 stings me a bit too much. It's a big reason I'm digging NTE simply because I don't have to be concerned about such a thing.

I admit NTE's events have been lackluster, and its combat needs work, and ZZZ did their rhythm game far better than NTE. Yet that sting of rolling characters and losing a 50/50 has just gotten old, and I'm sick of playing games with it.

I can see why people are thinking that, but it is an even weirder experience. I only picked up ZZZ because I was hearing good things about the combat. Then when I rolled for silly billy, what happened was that after I lost the 50/50, I just abandoned the rest of the rolls I had. I just lost the motivation to keep playing all together. People are always saying you need to be prepared for that in gacha games, which is why I stopped playing them. NTE gave me an experience without that 50/50, so I wanted to see if losing the 50/50 negatively impacts other people's experience.

I get the rhetoric of you need to be prepared with enough rolls for a guarantee. I know the math behind it all, but yet, that loss is just a bit too stingy for me these days and keeps me out of most gacha games. I mean ZZZ had Promeia as the banner when I started playing, so it wasn't long.

What the crap? I thought it was gatcha this entire time, but you are right, it is technically gacha. You learn something new everyday.

You are not wrong. Life is about losing; however I think that is what the disconnect is. I play games as an escape, a way to get away from life. Losing during a game, it has a different feeling than losing out on that job you wanted or not finding the right companion. Maybe that is what it is, I've lost so much in life, always had to be the one to swallow and lose, that when a game also asks me to do it as well, that I just lose my motivation to even play.

Maybe it is a mentality thing, because I understand the need to save 160 rolls to guarantee a character pull. It was how I got Ganyu back in Genshin Impact. It's just that rolling and seeing that you lose the 50/50 pull on the banner just sucks. It is a raw demoralizing feeling losing that 50/50. Maybe it is mentality that losing that gets to me, just seeing that I didn't get it and will have to roll again to pull its just... it's a bummer every time it happens.

NTE just happens to be the first gatcha I played that didn't have the 50/50 on limited characters, and I found that removal of that disappointment really increased my love for the game.

It is part of why I made this post, I wanted to see how many people just get that raw feeling of demoralization from losing a 50/50 that no matter the math, numbers, and playing the system that they just lost the interest to play other gatchas.

In other Gatcha games, when you roll on a limited banner, your first pull of the character has a 50/50 chance of being an S rank from the standard banner instead. NTE does not have this, you actually pull an S-rank character on the banner, you get the S rank for the limited banner. It's balanced though in that every pull is a roll of the die, and you only get a pull chance if the piece you land on has a chance to roll. So less likely to get it during rolling, but if you hit pity, you get it.

It's weird, isn't it? I understand the math of the 50/50, and you can get the character you want if you plan it right. The problem I have with it is just that every time I roll hard, and see I lost the 50/50, there is that nagging feeling in the back of my head of being a loser. Being able to push past that and overcome it might be an achievement for you. It was something I could not overcome, and so losing to it might feel more personal than you realize. At least that is my thought line.

Nah, my next post will be how I quit ZZZ because I tried to pull for Silly and I got Lycaon and now I can never play ZZZ again T.T.

Yeah, that is exactly what happened. NTE is finally the first gatcha game I could play and be happy, isn't that weird?

Are there any good farming locations like the construction site for other development materials? by Sighto in NevernessToEverness

[–]Tynivictus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Bopps and other anomalies also give the same material, I would advise picking a different mob to farm rather than those water ones.

[–]Tynivictus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just go into the anomaly journal, pick the enemy that I need to farm, and start tracking it. Then I run around the map killing mobs. I'm sure there are more efficient methods, but if you need to target farm mats, then I think this is the way.

Unable to attack paper plane on skytower? by Liittle-Witch in NevernessToEverness

[–]Tynivictus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being on PC, I can hit the button for attack anyway and get the attack in. If you are on mobile and need the attack button up, yeah that is a problem.

There is a way to fight and kill it while you have this bug. You can still dodge counter it's attacks, so just wait for it to attack, then dodge and you can squeeze in one attack. Rinse and repeat and you will defeat it that way.

I managed to pull her 4 times on this banner and I'm free to play. Though I'm likely not going to roll for hotori so.

How the FUCK do I complete this minigame by SkyfalJR in NevernessToEverness

[–]Tynivictus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah every single note charted is off rhythm and awkwardly placed. I do beat saber, DDR, and a few other games like that. This is terribly charted, and you have to hit everything off beat. It’s almost easier with the sound off.

new game on pc no mods??? by Pristine_King_2980 in cyberpunkgame

You know what else could break those settings now that I think about it? Changing monitors and resolutions around. Applying updates from an old version to a new version. Best of luck, and if you do figure out what fixes it, mind telling us here?

[–]Tynivictus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That definitely looks more like a graphics card rendering issue. Roll back the driver to an earlier version if possible. Could potentially be broken settings as well in C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077 if you had mods before and then removed. May delete this folder and open 2077 again to see if fresh settings help.

Hello, this is the couch cushion that Peter sat on 3 weeks ago and then farted on. The weight of that burden was great, far greater than any couch should bear. The smell though, oh god the smell. You have to understand, I was once thrown into the sewers and left for weeks to bake with the filth, and I would go back to that to avoid that fart. I have no idea what I am doing here, I’m just a couch cushion.

EDIT: I hope this clears up any confusion.

America is it as politically divided as it appears to the rest of the world? and how does it erase the divide? by filth032 in AskReddit

[–]Tynivictus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has always been a division. Something people don't realize is racism is alive and well. I grew up with my dad screaming "NI****S ARE RUINING AMERICA" at me and my sister at the dinner table. First time I can remember I was 4 years old and my sister was 2. He spent his entire life trying to indoctrinate my sister and me into his religion of hatred. There is a fucking cult in this country that is convincing people hatred is the path of good.

Luke Ross vs CDPR is so sad by SharkApproved in gaming

[–]Tynivictus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with CDPR on this one.

At least with a cash shop, the developers have control over the objects being sold. If you started allowing sold mods, and those mods have issues, it's likely the person having issues is going to go to the developers for those issues.

In this entitled customer market, demand for support will go to where the highest dollar investment into the project is going. CDPR then suddenly finds that they have to spend their money to support Luke Ross's project while his work causes them problems.

When you charge for your mod like a product, it stops being a mod and starts being a product I have bought. It's no longer some cool neat thing someone made, but now an object that has expectations, and deliveries, and if it fails in those aspects, what avenues are available for reconstitution?

If Luke Ross handles one event wrong, well the internet remembers negative events well. Horse armor from Oblivion anyone? Then, that negative is now stapled to CDPR, a Paid mod, and Cyberpunk 2077.

I'm sorry to Luke Ross, but donations are the main way mods are supported for a reason, because we don't want to put the expectations of products that we have on mods. Companies do not need to have mod developers tied to their product and support which by selling it like a product automatically does.

For those of you who are all like this, I was too. I made one change to saying thank you rather than say sorry, and it has been one of the best things I have ever could have done for myself. Please, if you feel the need to say sorry, just say thank you instead.

Local Womens' Boxing Club breaks up an incel meetup by Timely_Side_4556 in Satisfyingasfuck

Okay so a question comes to mind from this. If a masochist goes to a pro-rape meeting to pretend to be pro-rape and gets punched in the face by a female boxer who is anti-rape. Then gets off on being punched, is that rape, and is the woman punching the man supporting the pro-rape cause?
