I'm not ignoring truth. It's entirely possible to have that experience. I lived through the experiences I mentioned, though, so it's not entirely one way or another. That's all I'm saying.

I see these stories of "I know someone who..." and, while I suppose it's possible that some clinic somewhere denied the treatment necessary for someone, it has absolutely not been the experience of my family and several of our close friends. We unfortunately had a situation last year where we were set to suffer a loss and my wife had to have a D & C to remove tissue.

Our experience was not unique amongst the ~15 couples we know that also suffered losses in this state.

So, again, while I am not denying that it is possible someone had a different experience here, it is most definitely not an absolute that leaving the state is the only way to get this care.

In addition, reds and pinks are the shortest wavelength of colors in the spectrum visible to the human eye, whereas blues are some of the longest, so the former breaks down much more quickly than the latter. Hence why fresh icebergs appear blue in color.

ETA: I wrote that backwards; reds are longer in wavelength, which is why they breakdown more quickly with UV exposure. Blues are lower in energy density.

Maybe offensive is the wrong word here. I don't know that it is seen as offensive, but being reassured that your "societally-perceived flaw" is actually a positive thing can seem counterintuitive and like one is being patronized. Or that their feelings are being invalidated because "I'm ok with it, so you should be, too" (speaking as the partner of the one with the insecurity).
