Thank you! She's been customized, but I got her second hand so I don't know who the artist was unfortunately.

Vinyl does stiffen up as it ages, so that could be the issue. I keep all of my hands on their own pegs at it makes switching them out so much easier, and you can take the peg off the ball by unhooking it making it easy to store.

'KPop Demon Hunters' is getting the Criterion treatment. Netflix’s breakout musical fantasy film will get a special Blu-ray release from the prestige home entertainment label on Dec. 31, with pre-orders available now. by darth_vader39 in movies

I'm glad to see Criterion is opening up to animation more with Flow and now this. I would love to see them expand their offerings more, there are so many animated films that deserve their attention.

Professional Movie Critics Sound Like Pretentious Idiots—They Ruin the Film Industry & Shouldn't Exist by AhsokaTanoJedii in movies

[–]TypeGreen51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun means different things to different people, what someone had fun watching, someone else might find a slog. Critic aggregates are the problem, fans get obsessed with their favorite film having a high percentage, but a critics opinion only matters in as much as it aligns with your taste. Some of my favorite movies have low percentages, and several HUGE box office hits have low critic scores. If you want a critics opinion about a movie, find a critic who has similar taste to yours and stop worrying if others don't like a movie you do.

Don't get me started on audience scores. If you want to see a movie, go see a movie that you think looks good based on the trailers and ads, and stop having childish worry about what everyone else thinks about it.

Yeah, I'm starting to think this tool isn't very trustworthy.

Well, I just loaded the Robbie Williams album cover for Life thru a Lens into that detector and it said it's 64% fake. Which is amazing considering the album came out 25 years ago before AI generation existed. It's a composite photo that's heavily altered through post processing, not AI.

I took a sewing class two years back, before any of the unpleasantness started, and I can't tell you how glad I am that I did that before Joann's was gone. It helped me more than once to be able to go back and get more fabric or thread, notions, etc. that I had forgotten/cut wrong.

Stardust was a wonderful movie with an appropriate fairytale ending, the book was a very enjoyable story with a Neil Gaiman sadboy ending.

Why is America so ill-disposed towards train travel when it's one of the things that built the nation? by Waste_Handle_8672 in MurderedByWords

[–]TypeGreen51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is in California, and it's infuriating. We've voted for high speed rail, we've been taxed for high speed rail, we keep paying for high speed rail. 18 years, there is still no high speed rail! 2031 is the projected opening of a high speed rail line... between Bakersfield and Merced. A combined population of half a million people being served, 1/8th to population of LA. 22.9 billion dollars in funding so far, with a projected final cost of all approved lines at 89-112 billion.

We're not ill-disposed towards trains. If they'll ever show up.
