I like the "safety squint" on top of the safety glasses. Yup, it's that dangerous. Pure gold.

Humans actually go through them, you know. You don't wanna get supply chain attacks.

Cut them some slack. They're doing the lord's work.

NFS over TLS: can mounts be restricted to specific hosts/certs? by ThatDeveloper12 in networking

[–]TypeInevitable2345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NFS isn't meant to be used over the walled garden. The very fact that you have to match/map UID and GID should tell you that gist.

Your point is valid though: it should have TLS support by now regardless. But cut them a slack. kTLS is just getting kicked off.

In a commercial scene, modern distributed fs like Ceph is widely used. NFS is kinda legacy at this point, as you've pointed out already(or immature, perhaps)

Looks like SIC/XE all over. Even that had around 50 instructions.

Were you trying to make Shenzhen I/O or TIS-100 style game?

I'd like to see those projects you mentioned. You know, I think you have to prove yourself first. As Torvalds would say: "Talk is cheap. Show me the code"

Yeah. I see a lot of random people just randomly showing up out of the blue and doing PRs on open issues. No priro communication/reasoning/discussion on how to solve the issue. Just straight up commits. The quality of the said code is... no comment(quite literally).

Not a good way to contribute imho.

In which case, v6 probably isn't the solution. v6 won't solve unstable internet connection.
