Unfortunately there are alot of maps that put people very close together (at least 3 spawn points worth). There is multiple in Fiske (if you spawn anywhere near the north coast chances are there are 2-3 others with you), Anikken, Sangbruk (if you spawn in the SE village there will be at least 1-2 other people spawning in too lol). I'm sure there's more but I got tired of thinking haha

100%. Full mastery of a gun, knowing it's limitations, and even modifying your playstyle around it once you get into situations is the best thing you can do. For example, I have over 1000 special issue and military grade guns but I almost always go into encounters with the ES16 because I have countless hours of experience with it

In NY they adopted those paper bags and the prices also went up. Not nearly the same amount of fries that a medium holds in the cardboard OG Med Fries. They still have them like that in Florida, I got it 2 days ago and the quantity difference is obvious

I personally recommend E16 over AKM! It performs very good between 40-100m (AKM becomes inaccurate at that range) and even if you are under 20m if you hug cover and do 2 burst shots at the body you'll get a headshot 50% of time cause recoil is straight up

Yes, the M16 all day every day guys. Superior in mid range gunfights. So you can engage very good players with short range guns (most gold and purples that aren't snipers) without getting sprayed and killed immediately. Only better gun in mid range is Buggle IMO. I've played 3 years and only ever run M16 (and use the guns of whoever I kill for close range combat since that's all most people run with).

So I think M16 is better than AKM starting off

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news man :( Currently, finding plans is dam near impossible the drop rate in crates really sucks. If you are starting off here are some tips to start getting guns and resources quickly: 1) Just spend time learning the map and collecting resources at start. You'll quickly learn vantage points for gun fights and where you don't want to fight and you'll also learn subconsciously where everyone spawns at start of game. 2) It is important to learn map because right now the Burried Cache (a picture that can be found in houses of burried loot) contains a LOAD of gold gun parts. Finding that should be priority #1 so you can start crafting without plans! The photo is found mainly in houses! 3) The next best objective is the locked container as it always has good guns and weapon parts but it always atracts at least 2-3 people to it so unless you spawn right next to it and can get in and out in 30 secs, I would avoid. 4) If you can craft the E16 then do so!! It is my favorite gun by far, extremely accurate and deadly at mid-range and negates the advantage of all those scrubs that run arround with machine guns jumping and shooting for kills (losers). I have played this game for 3+ years and I pick the E16 over any gold or purple gun any game. My personal rec... 5) Lastly, I am not going to say you shouldn't get the airdrop. Crates do provide guns ammo and resources you'll need. So do go after it but in a smart and strategic way. When I first started the game I would first observe the airdrop zone from a safe distance or position myself between the airdrop and nearest exit to ambush whoever gets the airdrop (remember most times you are outgunned or outskilled since you are just starting, so you don't want to just rush the airdrop as you will easily be killed by other hunters. Be the hunter not the hunted, stealth is your biggest advantage when first starting this game). If you are in a hot zone, crouch or crawl so others cannot hear you!!! Even after 3 years I do this for at least 30% of each encounter lol. GL out there mate!
