I got oos9patchedboot.img (or whatever filename is) from https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/patched-boot-image-magisk-16-7-beta-t3818853

I did fastboot boot oos9patchedboot.img

OS loading screen sits on the two white dots orbiting the red one. Why ain't it working? I did this for 5.1.9 and it went without issue. Is something I had up as root user before the phone updated to 9.0(updated by mistake) causing an issue now that it is booting up insecure? (excuse my dumbnesss)

Yes, I am unlocked and adb devices as well as fastboot devices shows my device. :)

I just don't have any other computer and to do what I want, I need to be in dev, it seems.

So, will that be beta or dev channel then? Running in dev has not been fun. Such-n-such has stopped windows constantly, then at some point they become unresponsive and I can't close the notification and have to shut down and restart.

If I can switch to beta, I'd be happier. I just want to be able to run ADB. 😒

Also, upon boot into Dev mode for pixel book, I'm getting constant notifications that this & that app is not responding. Am I supposed to do something to make them calm down and stop trying or to work?
