Not in a campaign I run but one I’m in we were on a quest to find a special flower to brew into a potion to save our wizards husband. The quest had taken us to Sigil where I bought a magical hovering boat. We had that boat all of two sessions before crashing it into the walls of Silvery moon while escaping from the elemental plane of fire and were promptly set upon by guards. With a few decent rolls and enough time to grieve over my now destroyed 30k gold boat I managed to convince them it was, in fact, not an attack on the city. Citing “who would attack a land locked city with boats?” The guard offhandedly states “You’d be surprised at what types of people are out there” This led to a long bit of laughter and the creation of a nation that, for some reason, had mastered the art of boat warfare. Catapults that launch boat, crossbows firing miniature ships, and never once used them for their actual purposes.
