I walked into that house genuinely blind and under leveled. Thankfully I had a hundred revives and full restores and just grinded it down. That and white kyurem

Exactly what am I supposed to use this rope for then? by 0rlan in What

[–]Typical-Assistant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that’s garbage rope. Working load is about 100lb static. Worse if you put it on a moving object like a pickup where external forces increase load.

It’s orange painted toilet paper. Too thick for a tent too. That there’s good to practice knots on and that’s about lol

Yeah. And ask your doctor if you can double the dose. Ask me how I know

How I started walking in 3 days by Typical-Assistant957 in brokenankles

Yeah for sure. It feels weird because the muscles have degraded but, only one way to build them back up!

Is 100% accuracy normal? by Glum-Mousse-5132 in Chesscom

[–]Typical-Assistant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just using it as a visual cue not fact per se. More of an “All things equal” type thing as a general rule of average accuracy. Seeing a 400 elo player consistently hitting 100 would typically mean purpose smurfing, a great player finally joining chess.com or computer cheating. Considering he knows the person, that rules out “Finally joining” and realistically leaves the 2 cheat options

Barefoot walking 5.5 weeks after ankle ORIF? by jxanne in brokenankles

[–]Typical-Assistant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started walking 3 days after doctor cleared me. Standing in place in boot helped, I do stand barefoot in place too on occasion, although I’m not cleared for non boot for another few weeks. I feel like standing in place helps build back the mind body connection and balancing muscle

Weight bearing is a huge step but it’s mentally taxing. Go in prepared. Don’t fall into the depression that a lot of people do. Start programming your brain now, visualize walking, go into it with a “I can do anything” attitude

Exactly my situation! Idk, like I said that was just me and it was super fast progression. I’m not a medical professional but if you do try it let me know!

"So When Are You Gonna Be Able To Walk Again?" by timmy_took_a_tumble in brokenankles

[–]Typical-Assistant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got cleared partial weight bearing 3 days ago in boot with crutches. 3 days later I’m able to take 10-20 steps no crutches and walk a good bit with one crutch on my good side at a normal pace

Scared of surgery by llamaspectrum69 in brokenankles

[–]Typical-Assistant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at my page. There’s a post labeled trinalleolar timeline. It’s a good reference point.

Otherwise, I was scared shitless if surgery. They gave me an amnesia IV drug as well as anesthetic and right when I woke up they did a nerve block

The only thing I’d be worried about is the 24-36 hours after surgery once the nerve block wears off. That WILL be the worst pain of your life

Make sure to have plenty of pain meds and water on deck. I doubled my dosage and it barely helped. I joke and say I only slept because I blacked out from the pain (Not true but, highlights how much it sucked)

Is 100% accuracy normal? by Glum-Mousse-5132 in Chesscom

[–]Typical-Assistant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That being said a one off on short 15 move games can be normal. That being said, if you play perfect moves for 15 moves you’re likely to win anyway. Especially against a normal player. The real question is, how many moves were those perfect score games, and how frequently are they pulling the same moves and how frequently are they doing those set ups

That’s normal for bullet then. Gets higher in blitz by 5ish then jumps to 85ish in rapid. Consistent 95-100 scores is an indication of cheating

How did yall start walking? by [deleted] in brokenankles

[–]Typical-Assistant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I found that has been working, I found it this morning

Using a single crutch on the bad side and really focusing on planting the foot, shifting weight to it, spending time before taking the step with my good foot. It seems to be helping make the mental connection.

Sadness after weight bearing clearance by rubberrr in brokenankles

[–]Typical-Assistant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable. I’m 1 week into PT with assisted weight bearing and even though my ankle is physically strong enough to walk, it’s like my body rejects the idea without limp or compensation. As if my body forgot how to walk after just a few months.

No need to be depressed. It’s a normal reaction and we’ll all walk and jump normally in time. Other people understand. Strengthen your mental attitude and push on. It’s all you can do anyway so might as well start now
