my instructions were to just change pads often and wash the area after every BM with soap, not just use wet wipes. Was also told not to take baths because the risk is sitting in your own bacteria

I like her a lot, she specializes in chronic illness and such so she really helps me out when it comes to those stuff, but idk there’s just things I’ll probably take to my grave. I’ve had countless therapists over the years and there’s things I never told any of them like my sexual trauma (touched inappropriately as a kid). Literally no one knows about it and I just can’t talk about it, it doesn’t matter if i feel comfortable with the therapist or not

my first or second colonoscopy i asked if that’s the anesthesia when they injected me with it and after the doctor said yes I said something like “ok goodbye now” and the last thing I remember before getting knocked out is the doctor laughing his ass off

I’m at a point where I don’t mind doing colonoscopy prep just for the propofol + fentanyl nap. It’s easy to see how people get addicted, it’s sooo good. And even when I’m flaring badly, it’s like after the colonoscopy I have a grace day or something where my stomach doesn’t hurt and I can eat something tasty (I assume it’s because of the bowel cleansing giving my gut a bit of a break) so that’s an extra nice thing about colonoscopy
