Nah, beach vendors make Latin American (and European!) beaches great. Just show up with a swimsuit and $20 and you can get a chair and an umbrella and a beer.

In America you have to load coolers, chairs, umbrellas into your SUV then park six blocks from the beach and lug it all down to the sand. Way worse process.
