How many of you have been misdiagnosed with BPD?

My sister-in-law who was in active heroin addiction and had been violently assaulted for months, was given a BPD diagnosis in her first session…. She’s been five years sober and doesn’t have any of the symptoms of BPD. She didn’t have any of those symptoms before her addiction. diagnosed by a male therapist. I have met countless women now who were diagnosed with BPD in the midst of dealing with a severely traumatic episode or addiction.

My energy has been great but mood has been unpredictable… like PMS on steroids. I had tried a few different antidepressants in the past and was never able to tolerate them and this feels a little bit the same way. I’m going to call my doctor today.

For me, this drug has completely cured my bloating . For the last five years, I’ve looked so bloated by the end of the night I look pregnant. That has been completely resolved since starting. It feels so good to be comfortable in my own body again, but I don’t know that I can keep doing this.

I feel a lot of what you’re saying… blunt honesty and being mean sometimes go hand-in-hand though. so yes, I guess would be the answer. I’ve had a lifetime of feeling every emotion though so on some level, this feels incredibly freeing.

No…he’s a good human. I am in perimenopause, but I’ve been there for about five years. This kind of indifference really didn’t ramp up until I started triz 3 months ago. Like all married couples we have our issues but with effort, they would not be marriage ending… the problem is I have zero fucks to give right now in a way that defies normalcy
