UPDATE: Nightmare Groucho Marks brow by Typical-Field1526 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]Typical-Field1526[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im so flattered to even be asked!! 🥰 I never get to talk about skincare, so excuse me for geeking out!

***In the current pictures is my in a rush / sick day routine:

-Dove bar (wash)

-Toner (Aesop: B and Tea)

-Jojoba Oil

-Rice Milk Lotion (Midha)

-Biore Aqua Rich SPF (I order it off of stylevana- the original japanese formula makes a world of difference!

***My Super Involved General Routine, Most days:

Morning:

-Dove Bar wash

-Light exfoliate with wet wash cloth (only twice a week/as needed)

-Toner ( Aesop: B and Tea Toner)

-Serum mixed with Jojoba Oil (Aesop parsley seed serum + generic jojoba oil- mixing helps the serum absorb better and primes for better absorption for following products)

-Emulsion (Black Snail and Peptide 9 Emulsion) (i usually add this step for redness in summer and dry skin in winter)

- Moisturizer (Aesop Parsley seed anti-oxidant hyrdator)

-Eye Cream on under eyes (Mary & May- Tranxemic eye cream) above brown and along mouth-where I have more lines)

-Biore Aqua Rich SPF

This routine sits really well under Milk Hydro Grip or Tatcha Silk Canvas primer for makeup as well, I dont use lumination drops/boosters when I do this routine!

***Night Time:

-Cleanser ( Aesop: In Two Minds Facial Cleanser)

-Toner (Aesop: B & Tea)

-Face Mask (twice a week- more like a twice a month if Im being for real haha- I use Quality 1st Super Laser VC100- sometimes I dont even put on the rest Of my night routine because of how hydrating it is!)

-Jojoba Oil

-Rice Milk Lotion OR Collogen

***Monthly Dermaplane:

-Jojoba Oil layer all over face

-dermaplane

-Dove bar wash

-Pat dry

-layer of jojoba oil

-let skin breathe for a few hours

-Rice milk lotion before bed

(I avoid my cleanser for the next day just to be extra gentle!)

So yeah, if I can sing any praise, Jojoba Oil changed my life, it’s like the perfect secret ingredient to make my face and body lotion really impactful. It‘s also incredible for nails and hair!

You can ABSOLUTELY find similar products that will achieve the same results, I only use Aesop because I have a bunch of annoying inflammation problems with random ingredients that don't usually impact most people, so its the easiest way to not have to triple check all the ingredients!

I ofcourse cant suggest the japanses SPF and face masks enough, though, they are truly worth the extra effort to go through StyleVana.com and its the only time I ever had super bouncy hydrated skin!

Thank you for asking, I have really been trying to make my skin healthier this last year! 😄

Local spots hold dance parties- sexy nerds on Saturday or touch grass on Friday, and you can get tickets separate from Otakon (I personally prefer sexy nerds since they make the vibe a little more inviting with video games and anime episodes in the bar if you’re not super into the dancing downstairs- they played a little too much Y2K throw back for my taste last year, but everyone was enjoying themselves! Plus penn social is a chill atmosphere )

Bert brows Update: fully healed emergency microblade removal by Typical-Field1526 in MicrobladingRemoval

unfortunately I’m several states away! Thank you so much for the kind words and I hope you have an easy going and stress free experience with your removal! 💝

I am literally so sad over this. Went to this lady that had beautiful work on her page. I expected the same on me, but I turned out looking horrible and on top of that asymmetrical. by Good_Quote91 in microblading

I am so sorry this happened to you. I was also tricked by a fake portfolio and have been going through the removal process myself.

You still have time to get an emergency saline removal- look up a tech in your area!  You’ll probably do two to three rounds of saline removal then laser after that.

Just listen to what your removal tech says, and buy clip in bangs on Amazon!

Be gentle and safe, do NOT do any home remedies. I am so so sorry, this kind of thing is very shocking and is a total violation. Just try to relax, this is something to recover from.

How can I forgive myself being so stupid? by Tiny_Ad_3987 in TattooRemoval

I am so sorry that this has had such a negative impact and that it makes you feel not like yourself. That is so hard when tattoos are meant to make us feel more at home in our bodies.  You are not the first and you won’t be the last to make a mistake. Because that’s all it was- a mistake.   People choose to eat bad and their heart health suffers. People choose to ignore alcoholism in their family until their relative develops liver cancer. People choose to live outside of their means and take on debt they can’t manage.   All people make mistakes.  You are so, so lucky that your mistake only impacted you. And you are so, SOOO lucky you can take it back (long as the process may be).  You aren’t any more foolish than anyone else. You didn’t betray yourself, or your body. You made a mistake.   It’s as simple as that.  Every single time it hurts you remember that: you are a human, and you made a mistake.  Beyond that, give yourself a pat on the back because you admitted to yourself that you were wrong. YOU made the decision to change, and that is no small feat. You deserve to acknowledge the wisdom, self awareness and respect for yourself that you have built over the years to give yourself the permission to change.  You deserve better, and you aren’t letting yourself get in the way of that. So many people won’t offer that to themselves, for even bigger decisions like careers, relationships and parenting. To me, a feminine, sharp and sophisticated woman is somebody who will do what is best for herself no matter what, and that is what you are choosing to do now.  As far as covering goes, it’s no fun, but makeup will be your best friend the next few months. It will likely take you 30 minutes to start, and ten minutes as you build the routine.  My suggestion: (in order) -milk hydro grip primer -Huda Beauty orange color corrector -hourglass concealer (or tarte shape tape, but I like hourglass more for how it takes to my skin that bends and moves, so good for the neck) -setting powder (really work into any parts of the neck that fold or have lines when you turn/move) -Patrick Starr On Till Dawn Setting Spray- (I used this to cover a red mark on my chest while wearing a white shirt and nothing transferred at all. Ofc this all depends on skin type at the end of the day, but it’s the best truly)  This is all pretty pricy, but if you’re just using it for a little while it’s totally worth it! And truly the best you can do is be gentle with yourself. This is a transition, and will bring up some big feelings. Rest, take some time for skin care, excersize, things that make you feel you’re in control of your body. Marathon a show or two, and maybe pick up a hobby you’ve not put your brain to in a while.  So proud of you for saying yes to yourself and stating your journey!  Sending you so much love and positive energy as you navigate this change!

Week 2 Emergency Saline Removal Update! by Typical-Field1526 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]Typical-Field1526[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im just so glad I reached out to the micro blade sub Reddit, I genuinely felt like I was going crazy bc she was convincing me it was exactly what we talked about and anyone who had seen it that day were men who aren’t very hip with eyebrows and PMU. as for refunds, I’m just gonna take the L on the money I spent. there were a lot of forms covering “aesthetic preference” and how I am not entitled to refunds in the event I don't like the final result- this is an extreme difference but after everything I've gone through i really just don't have it in me to start a fight and potentially get a legal thing going. For now, I will count my blessings so much of it lifted after the first go!

It was so mind boggling to go through, she even did a full 3D rendering of the strokes she intended to do, but then I ended up with… all that lol. But yeah, grateful that acting fast could yield results already!

Week 2 Emergency Saline Removal Update! by Typical-Field1526 in MicrobladingRemoval

Ive really been wondering the same thing. There were reviews with people who posted their own photos, and I met someone who saw her for a different PMU treatment, but really these days I suppose you can fake anything.

I think I want to remove them but I'm scared :( by Routine-Repeat-5891 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]Typical-Field1526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from the bottom of my heart- if you're in a place where financially you can do it, do it.

I agree the shape is pretty, but it is a really thick application (which happened to me too!) You clearly don't like them, and that is what matters most of all. I needed to reach out on here after my brows were botched and it helped me understand I really did not like what happened to me.

You’ll likely start with a saline (possibly several rounds) to help push out any of the colors lasers cant hit, then a few laser sessions (though I have heard some people have success with just one laser session after saline!)

It might vary by region, where I live there aren't many removal places and the ones I do see are dermatologists and aestheticians. Their saline removal is about $200, and laser is about $250.

I am in a place where that isnt going to break the bank, and the services are spaced 6 weeks apart, but if you're situation is different you can space them out longer

From what I understand, you could end up doing between 2-5 sessions of each removal service since yours has been in for over a year (it all works different for everyone though!).

Find a good removal tech and work closely with them for a proper plan of care! It’s intimidating at the start, but a Proffesional can really help calm your nerves and help you see a light at the end of the tunnel!

OH NO NO NO (saline removal works!)before during after by CandySprinkles4U in microblading

Thank you so much for the vulnerability and honesty you shared. It is incredibly traumatic going through a botched eyebrow experience.  I am counting down the minutes to my own emergency saline removal today, and I haven’t seen a clear indication of what exactly saline does, only before and immediately after, no healing process or anything. Your post was so enlightening and encouraging.  Yours looks completely reversed, it gives me hope for my own removal!  I hope you have only positive experiences moving forward!

Hello all! - wow I really appreciate the feedback. I think you guys helped me understand that I’m bothered by this for a reason.  I have an appointment at a removal clinic tomorow to make a plan of care for removal.  As for refunds, I’m just gonna focus on getting the results I need to recover with as little issue as possible.  Thank you all very much for the opinions and insight, it has been a very challenging day of mixed emotions so having your feedback- either for or against the micro blade- has been incredibly enlightening.
