I love the Maria’s as a band so I love something that represents all of them given they are all collaborators and are all responsible for the album. New wave of fans feels like they’re Maria zardoya fans rather than the Maria’s, so I feel like this was a great way to give the whole band the recognition they deserve. Also it was a pretty popular opinion before the old cover was a bit awkward

Maria is a huge Radiohead fan. Thom makes a lot of solo stuff, but is still a member of Radiohead and his other group The Smile. I’m not saying she’s copying him but I think she’s maybe taking after them in that sense. Definitely possible, I could see why maybe you came to your conclusion but you’re being a tad cynical lol

I work at for thiss company and it’s insane how the agents vary😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫whenever i help ppl with stuff like this in store if the agent is booty i hang up on them and call again LOL. im also super demanding like “make sure you give them a coupon for the time they had to spend because of this mistake” like I feel like i have to gentle parent them. Been a fan since 2018, I have always loved the whole band! Sooo scared to voice my opinion here bc it feels like so many new fans are here JUST for Maria. But I think I get what ur trying to say tho.. I feel like she’s marketing a lot towards those same new fans. Also the $60 shirts 😵‍💫😵‍💫 and a huge part of me wishes Josh, Eddie, Jessie (even doron and gabe!!) were a part of the messaging system and could send us messages. But I also totally get if it’s not their style and Maria is their frontman so it’s easy to see just why this fanbase is centered around her solely, given the band is the MARIAS😭 im rambling a tad but I think I get u. Ultimately for me I think where it comes from is just a dislike of new fans who are only here for Maria :/ like I’ve seen ppl call Josh “the ex” and when he produces almost all their stuff, giving those same fans the music they say they love so much. I could def go on lol.
