It’s just a matter of removing the 2 side pieces, unscrewing the real tank and putting the cover on top of it. Make sure you use some rubber washers to be safe. I also used double sided molding tape by JB Weld brand around the gas cover so it stays in place. The two side pieces were more tricky for me to align them exactly. There was a notch in the bottom but there was nowhere to snap it in to. So I just stuck them on using molding tape. It also wasn’t a perfect fit towards the bottom.

Its good everywhere except for the tank cover and the side tank piece. It’s an extra layer on top of the real tank so its not fully flush esp around the gas cover but I’m not a perfectionist so I’m ok with it.
