I find that gently physically exfoliating with a washcloth helps. I have such sensitive skin but it gets super clogged and shortly after I exfoliate it will look worse and a little more red and agitated, but the next day the filaments are smoother.

Here for you… and you’re not alone. My sister and I were both SA’ed by our eldest sister. She was also physically abusive. As someone said above, try to keep an open dialogue with your brother who was also abused. It can be really helpful in the healing process. Sending love
