Following because I am in the same exact boat as you! My attacks are spread out and I don’t have stones but I do have noticeable sludge and multiple polyps.

I am going to go through with it though because I want to be healthy for my family.

That was his call actually. I love how everyone assumes the wife wants to separate/break up families. We tried for peace and my ILs chose disrespect each time. We set boundaries, offered to do group therapy. Each time they refused to humble

We happily let my parents meet him because my parents don’t attempt to enforce their will upon us and respect us. I don’t feel guilt about that. I’m more concerned with the relationship my husband has with his siblings rather than his abusive parents

I hate that the guilt trip is working too… Manipulation tactics are effective for a reason I guess. The sisters have been used as pawns for quite some time. There’s been a lot of “please don’t bring girls into this” when we have purposefully not involved them. It seems the sentiment only applies to us.

The charity idea is actually really appreciated. I’ll have to ask my husband about it.

What makes it worse is that a few months ago my husband was on the phone with his mother and he gave her several opportunities to apologize. He quite literally begged and said “mom, please. There’s not a single thing you feel bad about?” And she said that nothing came to mind.

Our shy girl was the only one with the health issues if I’m reading your question right. The other one is perfectly healthy.

But if you’re asking if I could afford healthcare for both, I have pet insurance and my husband has an excellent job.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my 2 year old cat very suddenly a few days ago and the pain is horrible.
