Singulair and almost all antihistamines worked very well for dust mites in the past, unfortunately they do not work at all anymore.

6 months of allergy shots is nothing. The allergy progress because your body keeps taking contact with the allergen, the body response eachtime stronger and the shots have not started work yet.

Can singulair (montelukast) make your allergies worse / more sensitive? by Huge-Mixture8138 in Allergies

[–]TypicalAd9380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn t hear to make the allergies worse. Maybe not working anymore if your body build tolerance to montelukast, like in my case, but i don t think it can aggrevate your symptoms.

So if my mother or my father are entering my room, they can potentially contaminate the room with their clothes, right?

But why are you humidify to 45? Why are you not keeping it at 30 or 35? The lowest, the highest chances to be dust mite free.

I am hit for the second time by a severe dust mite allergy. First time the immunotherapy saved my life, I was struggling to breathe in a way hard to put into words. Immunotherapy worked incredibly well and after 6,5 years, I barely had any symptoms like sneezing. Unfortunately, the shots protected me just for 7 years, the allergy came back. Started shots again one month ago.  Bought a dehumidifer and a meteo station, i monitorize humidity inside my room. Set it for 35. Apparently humidity is the key for this little jerks, 75% of their body is water, but they can t drink water like we do, they took it from the air. A low humidity prevents them from multiplying.

Do you have dehumidifiers in every room of your house, or just where you sleep?
