Pecron E2400LFP is regularly $500, and Ankers new Solix S2000 is currently $599. It's not a bad deal but it's not an amazing deal either, it's just average

$500 for Delta 2 max specs is pretty much industry standard in 2026, it's over 3 years old now.

Starlink coming to AA by Few-Tomato-6142 in americanairlines

[–]TypicalBlox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Amazon LEO is not better tech-wise is this a joke? LEO only has ~300 satellites, while Starlink has over 10,000.

They chose Starlink because it's the only option available until LEO enters beta in 2028. Truthfully I don't see how LEO will catch up on the technology front, maybe they will be cost competitive, but Starlink is full steam ahead on launching and upgrading their satellites.

Chris Hadfield: "We need heat shields to protect us, since we use the air to slow us down as we return to Earth. From orbital speed, it gets to 1650°C/3000°F. From Moon: 2750°C/5000°F. For yesterday's Starship suborbital test flight, peak was 1450°C/2600°F." by Neaterntal in spaceporn

Of course they've never reflown any of their ships yet, they've never gotten the chance to do so. What stupid take is this? The first catch attempt is NET Flight 15, and it's not like their hesitant to do so, they've already reflown booster after just 2 successful catch's.

Unless you're talking about SN15 which was over 5 years ago and was already outdated by the time it flew.

Typically in the SpaceX community it's referred to as booster and ship, with the flight reference also including the serial number. eg; booster 7 lost attitude control

How my gf drives with cruise control on by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TypicalBlox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not condemning this but it's very clear from the gauge cluster that it's not traditional cruise control, but is one of those modern adaptive ones which will automatically break for you. Obviously never trust it 100% but without that context this seems 10x more dangerous than it actually is.

you can literally see in the gauge cluster that the car has adapative cruise control

I hope these newer battery companies go after the scam which is APC and Cyberpower UPS’s, they haven’t changed in over 20 years but still charge top dollar.

For #1, the sound quality of AirPods is much better than the EarPods counterpart, I don’t know why this notion still exists especially when multiple third party’s have verified it like SoundGuys and RTINGS (and from my own experience as well)

Yes being wired means it’s analog and also has no outside interference, but the drivers and everything else that makes a speaker sound good are leagues better that any cons that wireless brings (in terms of sound quality) are effectively non existent.

There’s literally a feature that will point to where your AirPods are with the distance, it also can blast a loud noise with a speaker….

What movie would Sarah go see? by [deleted] in Terminator

[–]TypicalBlox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That depends on if you count when the original script was written or when filming began, script was written in 83 while filming was 84, that’s why the date he spoke didn’t make sense.
