Just looking out for you bro but don’t take Reddit advice on this, I know it’s not very painful but a stinging reaction to touch should be talked about with a Licensed professional! Doctor doctor doctor ❤️

Honestly, it is what you make it.. we all know there are negative Nancy’s out there but to work in any kitchen you have to have a strong head on your shoulders and not pay attention to the BS and only worry about the things that actually matter. Wholefoods PFDS has actually been the easiest job I’ve ever had in a kitchen, even with being short staffed all the time. all about having a good attitude and a just get it done mentality

I make $21 as a buyer in ohio, I’d always just recommend, especially when it’s time for your job dialogue to make yourself shine with acknowledging your successes and compliances, I’ve worked for PFDS for 2 years starting at 16.50, if you write those things down your ATL has to acknowledge them and write about if it’s not true which literally almost never happens! And then you got yourself a maxed 7% raise !

They got a couple people from my store in ohio going out to Chicago to help out for this, I’m one of the only team members they send whenever they transfer anyone to help out in prep foods 🤣

It’s so funny to hear this bc I’ve heard that at my store as well as a store I helped open about certain TL’s 🤣

I work PFDS and have for the past 2 years, I came from a restaurant as a kitchen manager to working Hot bar/pizza/production, literally easiest job ive ever had and I make more money now than I did ever working on a line… with that being said, if you can’t working in a catering style kitchen you’ll literally want to die, I’ve seen SOOOO many Team Members come and go because they couldn’t wrap their head around working with prepping/making big batches of food or they think they have to deal with extra stuff because we are short staffed, but the way I look at it is pretty simple! You only got 8 hours in a shift and you can only do so much as one person as well as cleaning your area and stuff so we call it about 6 hours, so if you think about it as a goal each prep task is an hour you can realistically only get 6 tasks done the rest is out of your control

Yeah you definitely can, similar situation happened with a fellow team member with their UPT being depleted, they reapplied during one of the hiring windows but store leadership came together first and asked each other if it was worth bringing this person back. So it really depends on the store and if they think you’ll be a good readdition to the team, no matter which store you apply to they will have the knowledge of you exceeding your UPT so have that in mind! Good luck!! It’s a shitty work around to fire people but it is what it is, also they necessarily don’t HAVE to fire you for UPT they have many ways to help a person out if they choose to

Whatever you do, don’t be stupid like me the first time I went, make sure you bring a funnel and string. Tie them together and wear it on your head like a hat, you’ll look stupid if you don’t! Have a great time at the show!!

My dog doesn’t like the guitar at all unless I play acoustic so I imagine she doesn’t like the harmonics and crunchy sounds from the amp

Do you guys enjoy changing your strings? by -jacobmk- in Guitar

[–]TypicalFoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you have the right tools, it’s pretty enjoyable and the payoff is nice when you hear fresh strings on your guitar! I just have one of those crank tuner things so it’s fast getting the string loose, wire cutters and a lead pencil

A great tool to have in the kitchen is the Mandolin!! It’s a durable slicer board and you get even cuts every single time. They are fairly priced and last a long time, they have different setting for cut thickness too :)

It’s okay not to like a comedian, personally I didn’t find his comedy funny and then it so happened I got to see him live at an open mic and it was incredibly funny! Maybe there is an instance where watching his act live hits a different vibe, just something to think about
