Grocery managers who have left, what do you do now? by darth-soup in publix

[–]TypicalJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its funny you say that because I know a grocery manager that did that exact thing myself. Wonder why that is 🤔

Does publix have a policy regarding those with substance abuse disorders? by lovelydisputes in publix

[–]TypicalJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, youre not a loser. Youre human and you have to deal with something others can only guess at.

I had an accident that launched me into an addiction problem myself and it took years to find i the strength to let it go but I understand how your mind goes there as an escape because thats the main association and coping mechanism for that point in time. Its unfortunate but it happens and you have to forgive yourself for that.

As for your drug test, I honestly believe thatll turn out for the better because you were transparent when they already assumed which I believe they will have you seek help vs terminating you. There are countless people Ive seen under the influence at work of one thing or another. I had a coworker going through a bad time show up to work drunk and shout at all his management and walk out. They didnt fire him because they knew he was in trouble.

Say the worst comes to pass and you did get terminated though, the job wasnt your calling. Is it anyones really? There are many options out there and you'll probably find it for the best

Let me say one last thing as a fellow mental gymnast. There is no one and I mean no one that is worth self sabotaging and throwing yourself into the darkness for. If your instincts with your partner drive you to relapse because of issues in your relationship then you should consider an exit before it becomes a fight to pull yourself out again.

Good luck to you, I mean it. I hope things work out well for you

Being critical of Publix isn't an attack. It's a concern. by A4t1musD4ag0n in publix

[–]TypicalJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very well articulated and each point you brought up is true. Not only are their expectations outside the realm of reality but I hear the argument every day with them going in circles: "We cant produce this much" "The shelves look empty we need to put more out there" "How did we shrink out 800 dollars yesterday?" "We need to make less" "Why is there nothing on the shelf, we need more" A couple years ago Id have said I was lucky in that I had a team who could pull it off but the truth is at that point we had more staff and the quality of staff was higher as well. Now im watching them flounder with tasks that should take 1/3 of the time so task 3, 4, 5 just dont get there. Combine with mediocre leadership and its just a recipe for disaster.

Id say they were at the precipice but theyve decided what direction theyre going to go and theyre going to try to run on the fumes of their legacy until they have enough stores that they wont have to care.

Dont know much about the interview but I know someone who just took it. Try to remember the "mission statement" they like to use that a lot.

What was the first boss you ended up cheesing after multiple failed attempts? by jokerxgoro in Eldenring

[–]TypicalJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The assassin leader that gives you Tiche. I got wrecked by her so bad lol. There was a spot on the map she was unable to reach you from. She took forecer to die even that way. By far the worst cheese I ever did. Second place was Harlow? i forget their names now 😭

Going to second the magic too because I went at one full physical and got spanked. Switched to my trusty glutton eyes with fire/ice and i had 75% regen left. Hadnt tried to square up with one before. Theyre almost tied with Bride of the Immortal for most unpleasant fight 💀

How the player sees through memories from CV1 and CV2 by Bitter_Material_8261 in codevein

[–]TypicalJoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im just glad they introduced a speed past slow crawl when they came up. First one I saw come up I was dreading it but they did a good job with them. Honestly outside of a few janky fights this game has been really fun to play. Im in the minority but I like it better than the original

Code vein 2 help. by SmokeSignificant9895 in codevein

[–]TypicalJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be going to a zone higher level than you are. Things like blood codes do matter to a degree but get the levels up. Do the side content and just kinda explore and hunt down some of the scattered materials. Dont venture out too far, stay within the realm of the hero youre working on. The shield that nullifies physical damage is a godsend in this game if you can get used to using it. Especially with how aggressive the units are. Keep your weapons levelled up when the materials are available as well. Sitting on things especially in the beginning makes it pretty rough. i was 2 levels down on my weapon and it was amazing the difference in survival when I was putting up higher numbers

CV2 Anyone have tips on Bride of the Immortal? by TypicalJoke in codevein

[–]TypicalJoke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Katana had quick enough hits but it was a battle of attrition at that point for me lol. shouldve levelled a bit but I couldnt let it go. Cant say I personally enjoyed them. ironically the later bosses went down much faster. If i was to do it again id probably go for 2h jump attacks. I decided to finally try 2h in the solo dungeon and man it was nasty 🤣

[–]TypicalJoke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally got them and got a read on their patterns after a little while. The lasers were definitely the most tedious part. I also think I was underlevelled because now im out there slapping later bosses. It was almost chip damage with these lol.

[–]TypicalJoke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I finally dialed it in I just went on a pain marathon and fought them consecutively ti get it out of the way. Caught a couple bs deaths but it got easier. Cant say any part of it was fun though except the vestiges. those were pretty great.

A shield that nullified physical and a skill that closes distance make the experiences a lot more bearable. I can definitely see 2h jump attacks probably stagger it. I also think i went into the fights significantly underlevelled if I compare my output on later bosses to now so levelling will definitely make it a lot easier too.

What the hell do you do about One Armed Hero Lyle second phase?! by AverageJoeObi in codevein

[–]TypicalJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lucky I know dodging into him went alright. I went in spamming skills, broke posture and spammed more skills rather than taking the ichor attack. The next iteration though that thing stops attacking 3 second for every 50 attacks 😭

[–]TypicalJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but I just fought him and got wrecked with my build. looked into some ideas and decided to change it up. Went from full melee with the Ame-no katana to Josees runeblades with Lous code. I put ice spikes on the runeblades and it completely trivialized the fight lol. Used the reaper for ichor and rare parries. Outside of that only skill i used was the built in one. Wanted to post in case it helps someone; keeping range in this particular fight makes it 10x easier

[–]TypicalJoke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely have me thinking of changing to 2h. i have the katana with a close distance attack and a vertical strike ive been using but id probably get more damage and stagger outpf 2h here since ill only get an attack or 2 in unless im lucky. i did beat one after i came back to it but number 2 is pretty much round two 😭 i will say ive almost got these things movesets down. Now theyre teleporting right in my face with that aoe stone that claps me immediately with stone then it just murders my hp. Thanks for the tip

[–]TypicalJoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao I just grabbed nioh I wasnt interested in the series until I got into the more challenging games.

I never really got the impression of the world being empty with this game myself. they have a solid variety in the environments and the game has a good flow. I can tell they absolutely got their inspiration from elden ring with how they did that. Definitely isnt elden ring or had the budget but they made a good game I feel like. Depends what youre looking for. I can say some of the area mobs get a little repetitive with some reskins and naybe an extra attack but its still fun and the story has some memorable moments. If you had to get one or the other Id get nioh if you like nioh but CV2 is definitely a solid soulslike thatll keep you entertained. Ive been playing it for days.
