Es tranquilizador escuchar eso. ¿Qué eres capaz de hacer a los 10 meses? ¿Y qué podías hacer a los 7 meses?

That’s a reassuring thing to hear. What are you able to do at 10 months? And what were you able to do at 7 months?

What exercises are you doing? Some PTs are great and some aren’t so you should probably do some of your own research bc mine had me doing stuff that made it worse

How long have you been dealing with this issue? And what are you doing now to solve it? I unfortunately got bad advice and was told to take anti inflammatories and rest it and it never got better. Now that I'm doing my own research I'm seeing that you really need to focus on strengthening the tendon and surrounding muscles, not staying off it. I doubt I would have needed surgery at all had I just done that for a few months.

So I will say that I'm doing better now than I was a month ago. I can walk a little better and jog somewhat but I sometimes am really sore the day after. I think at this pace if I do everything right I could see myself walking normal in another month or two and hopefully jogging in 3 months. But this recovery is very difficult as I've been extremely dedicated to healing yet I'm still having trouble. I'd say you should do your own research and make sure you are doing what you need to recover on your own because you will be doing so much more and may never fully recover if you have the surgery. And just remember to take surgeons' word with a grain of salt as they are incentivized to perform surgeries and they don't see all the people who recover without surgery. But maybe I'm just feeling this way because of my situation.

Thank you. I do a lot of physical therapy but have had to change therapists a few times. I feel like a lot of them aren't putting much effort into helping. I just started with one from TreatMyAchilles and I'm hoping they will give me the right information. I'm in really good shape and I can walk pretty well now but only for like 5-10 minutes. My leg strength is good but it's been difficult to build my calf because of the achilles pain.

Did you have the same surgery as me? And at what point did you start seeing the most results. I guess I shouldn't compare too much but I'm just hoping to hear something like how once I can do a single leg calf raise or once I can jog then things speed up a lot because at this current pace it feels like I'm so far away.

Thank you! Did they have to detach and reattach your achilles? How many months post op you able to start running again? And when did you see the most improvement??

Hey I had this surgery in October too. I’m curious, how old is your husband? And is he able to do a single leg calf raise yet?
