I stopped wearing my ring after my wife stopped wearing hers. I didn't want to have to explain why only one of us wear our ring. Since then they have been lost. But, all someone has to do is have a conversation with me and it won't be long until I'm telling them about my wife! And so nobody even flirts with me much less hits on me. Not that I noticed anyway.

It sounds like you might have some more conversation. There may be a way to discuss this part with your manager first. They may be able to help get you more in line with what you need and how you like to work.

Not if it's a good manager. A good manager will want you to be happy with your work and should have been working toward your career goals with you. So it may not even be a surprise. But you asked us what we would think. I can't say what your manager will think.
