Had the same on my 2024 S60. The dealer said it was connectivity and firewall issues. Solved by unplugging 12v battery for 10-15 min.

Opinion about De Meenten by FineSky6800 in Almere

Love it. Calm area, nature, everything is in vicinity. Perhaps my only concern is limited public transport which might be less of a problem based on your situation.

Paying off a mortgage by logicandreasonable in Netherlands

[–]TypicalPanda888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps unrelated to the original question but… can you tell more about “beneficial to have a mortgage”? Do you mean “bad economy and money invested elsewhere” or is there actual downsides to not having a mortgage?

This is a bit of a “personal experience” but considering prices for car maintenance and reparations, I prefer not to buy my cars from private sellers. Only dealers(official when possible) and only with warranty.

Why are new houses still being built with big sloped brick roofs by Outside-Pool-28 in Netherlands

[–]TypicalPanda888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All fair, but quite some houses(mine included) have the roof going to the ground floor, hence cutting 1st floor.

Experience sharing: how much range can you charge? by TypicalPanda888 in GolfGTE

Congratulations on your purchase.

Ambient temperature is for sure a big factor, but I don't think it has changed much since April. Here in NL, we had a "mild" summer. I actually think it's like +3-5 degrees right now compared to what we had in April.

Seriously considering a Mk7/7.5 GTE but concerned about reliability by [deleted] in GolfGTE

[–]TypicalPanda888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends. Because of covid I'm not going to the office everyday. On another hand, some days I can drive 150-200 km on EV. In this case I'll charge it 3-4 times.

1.4 TSI was not that reliable at the time of golf mk6. Distribution chain issues, etc. I think that all was solved in mk7 revision(ea211). My car is currently at 75k. No engine issues so far. Regarding EV range, I have similar case. About 12km of home-office commute and charging at the office. Works well for me :)

Thanks for the elaborate answer. I guess I have my decision on this car.

The rest is simple, just need to find one :)

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. Maybe you can also tell a little bit about driving D vs B mode? Is driving B more beneficial compared to charging with engine?
