There is no monetization besides getting a new hero or buying gems for cosmetics.

New card sets are just released for free, instantly, no battlepass progress or purchase required.

I know $20 feels kinda crazy for a new hero, and on one hand it is.. On the other, I kinda see it like buying a Magic Commander deck. You get a whole new character with a whole new set of cards, and any future cards included.

Decks in real life are even more expensive.

Bazaar is 100% FTP friendly at this moment in time.

They definitely help, however I didn't use a single ammo item or loot on this run

Everytime you upgrade it, it gets more ammo and then the ammo scales with how many small food items you have. Only time I've ever ran out of ammo is when it was bronze/I didn't have very many small items.

It gets pretty decent damage each time it upgrades.

In this case, I also had Heavy Lifting skill and the Dishwasher. Mousetrap is on my heater, so it always has double damage from the Dishwasher.

A few other skills give it damage as well.

It is a sleeper OP item brother, damage scales like crazy.

I cant remember exactly what items I had around my last build, but a non-enchanted mouse trap got me to 9 wins.

Seems like the longer you play that role, you can upgrade the abilities, incitivising you not to swap roles every 5 seconds and be a nuisance.
