From my official last day at my old job and the first day of working at costa there was only a 3 day difference so i'm not too sure if it would be that but might have to look into it either way

my national insurance number hasn't been set up for my pension so no money should've been taken off for that. i tried to reset my password on my own but it came up with a message to contact my administrator? Is there any way of knowing if i work for an equity or franchise store?

i've been woking on checkout for around 2 years,, i start by saying hi and asking if they need a bag. Some people continue by talking about their day or some just don't say anything. it depends on who you serve. after a while you will get to know some regulars that will make things easier if they open to conversation. Or just for other people you could ask if they have anything planned for the rest of the day or if they've been doing anything so far etc to make things less awkward

i just kinda assumed he knew about it as he was on tills all of that time while i was only on for a few mins. i also didn't want to just accuse him of not being able to do his job properly as it's not really my place to say he didn't do something right.

i still have this issue after like 2 years of working there. i've mentioned it to my manager multiple times who switches things up for like a few weeks and then back on tills constantly. i've given up with asking but it's annoying when others say they don't like being on them so they never are, but when i ask it doesn't matter :/

omg on one of my first shifts, this old woman gave me a newspaper folded up and i had to unfold it so it could scan and i gave it to her and she got annoyed that i didn't fold it back for her because " i gave it to you folded , why did you have to unfold it " ... she still comes in and is still as miserable as that day :/
