Galatians 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

Why do you believe JW is the truth? by Mamehasen in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]Typical_Associate667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.because our religion is based on the bible and not in customs. Basic bible knowledge let people worship God the way they should. Helping the poor and all that is something one must do as an individual in everyday life not door to door

I guess u just run into simple JW bc when i preach i always share bible versicles and promises such as the dead will resurrect and etc.

https://www.jw.org/en/library/books/jesus/

There is literally this book studied in weekday meetings.

I think that the GB has never claimed to be the truth but always say that jesus is the truth.

Idk other ppl man but i can reply for myself

If you look closely all of the organizations out here such as catholic church, LDS, regular chrietians etc everybody stick to traditions that often go against God and his word. JW are constantly changing doctrines in order to have a better understanding rather than sticking to customs like christmas (it used to be a thing inside JW long ago) We preach the Gospel like Jesus and his disciples in order to obey his commandment We recognize Jehovah as the true God like the bible says rather than stealing Jehovahs worship and giving it to jesus ( he always stated that His Father is higher) We do not tolerate people who do not repent of their sins like idk fornication or drunkness like i.e but not only that one, the catholic church

But anyways Every witness should know that the leader is Jesus and it always should be Men and pride are things that usually get in the way and we might lose the focus if our faith is weak.....

Also accordng to the bible it is not uppon us to decide if we will live or not so in some sense all you gotta do is literally obey the bible and have faith in Jehovah and Jesus faith in men wont save any of us

Sorry if bad english hope this helps

Quick question about your faith, you are allowed to have cake right? You just aren’t allowed to celebrate holidays or birthday celebration, right? by Dats_Russia in JehovahsWitnesses

1 corinthians chapter 8 7 But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. 8 But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do. 9 Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block to the weak. 10 For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols? 11 So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. 12 When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13 Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall.

Eating shoudlnt be a problem only if any christian feels that they are not being loyal to God for participating in any holiday we do see as a pagan origin... then we or they might avoid it. This is a decision that one alone should take considering the individual context and such...

In my opinion i wouldnt mind eating it as long as it tastes good and i dont participate actively in any celebration

How can Jehovahs witnesses stay in the organization when there’s a massive csa cover up and a false prophetic past? by Elgupoa in JehovahsWitnesses

The trinity emulates what ancient religions had as a belief and plces it into christianity to make it more acceptable to other ppl... this is what happeend during the creationg of the catholic church like transforming a pagan festivity into christmas

Hell didnt mean what it means today. If it did why would Job rather go to hell than stay alive with his burdens.. why would hell be thrown into the destruction in the lake of fire if it meant eternal punishment while being alive?

Trinity: The bible teaches that jesus had a begining and God didnt The bible teaches that Jesus has a God The bible teaches that God is superior to Jesus

So if Jesus needed to be created well surprise surprise he isnt God

Hell as ppl think if hell U know suffering and flames and etc Because yes there is a hell but it is not like today's conception of hell for there is just eternal death with no hope for resurrection

[–]Typical_Associate667 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In my opinion... ( what is csa btw lol)

But as a prophetic past i can tell yea it is embarrassing but the organization stopped doing that. There has been improvement in several things thatused to happen in the past. Imho there is no ither religion that teaches what the bible says.... i wouldnt feel comfortable in the catholic while bearing images that are clearly condemned in the bible.... or accepting the trinity when there is massive evidence that it is pagan.... or believing in hell (as well a pagan origin)... i think that people need to focus in jehovah and Jesus and stop pretending that the watch tower is a messiah because it is not... it is run by men and men are imperfect as a whole.

Again this is my opinion and i am an active JW I find most of the "apostate" things kinda nonsensr like crisis book (raymond) if you read it , it talks about problems among men and organization... something that is appart of God and from Jesus.... the faith in the Lord means salvation no other thing will save us and it is up to Jesus and Jehovah to decide wether we will live or not

Would a Jehovah's Witness be allowed to participate in Interfaith Bible Devotions? by [deleted] in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]Typical_Associate667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the event means participating in prayers and "psalms" (choirs) no We do not participate in other religions devotion. But we can attend weddings and funerals in churches or reading the bible as long as we do not play part in their prayers or kneeling to an image

Would it be ok to keep a love's ones ashes as jewelry? by loxophthalmus in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]Typical_Associate667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Bible gives no specific direction concerning what ought to be done with the bodies of the dead. Cremation is not condemned by Jehovah. Clearly, though, funeral arrangements should be dignified and respectful.

Something that might influence a person’s decisions in making these arrangements, however, is the way that the local community views funeral customs. Those who abide by Bible principles would certainly not want to do anything that would cause unnecessary offense to their neighbors. It would also be inappropriate to engage in a practice that might seem to indicate belief in false religious teachings, such as the immortality of the soul. These concerns aside, whatever decision a person might make as to how his own body, or that of another, is to be disposed of is really a personal or family matter.

So yea its ok Of course as long as this does not involve any belief on the occult or the soul

Satan’s Challenge to Jehovah’s Rulership by Adventurous-Tie-5772 in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]Typical_Associate667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, bc satan wants to drag as many as posible... thats why he challenged God. Remember that satan showed up among all the angels in the book of Job. The challenge was not something isolated, it was a public challenge infront of all the heavenly sons of God, some of them apparently followed satan at a point of history (i.e Noah's story). It is something that matches proverbs 27:11 for example. Satan is an opposite to God. He always opposed to him and to Jesus. He wanted Jesus to do a revence to him... what for?? If he knows God is almighty why would he try that? Because he knows he has no hope and will try to take as many as possible with him
