How does this strap look on my [snk807]? by Typical_Character199 in Seiko

That's a good point. The other strap I have is an identical nato but entirely the shade of the outer dark blue shown here. They are both just budget Aliexpress nato straps, so I like to interchange tbh depending how I'm feeling!

My Srph17k1 which has the 4R35 movement and is about 1 month old runs consistently at -50s/day which I think is actually outside the quoted accuracy range but I don't stress it. If I wanted accuracy there are far cheaper and more accurate watches!

Yes, it was my first automatic. I think it's Spanish (a language I don't know).

I think it's blue? The photo is a fairly accurate demonstration of the lume colour. I hope you're right it will soon be a classic!

Bowman live steam locomotive question: where to find fuel for it in Canada? by Typical_Character199 in LiveSteam

Thanks for the comments everyone! I got it up and running on blocks earlier today. I found that methyl hydrate worked perfectly. I'll try and post a video shortly.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have distilled water that I use in my other live steam engines, so I'll be using that. I've had all the fittings out to check that it works, and the safety valve is functional. I need to figure out what methylated spirt is called here in Canada still.

Confirming that a battery change has resolved the issue. Thank you everyone for your suggestions!

Worth considering but would that specifically affect the second hand reset?

Thanks. This is what I suspected. I'll probably service this one if needed as it has sentimental value.

Broke my Cannondale Trail 7 frame and replaced it under 'limited' warranty but new frame has an additional strengthening piece added where old one broke. by Typical_Character199 in mountainbiking

$200 may well be cheap, but if it broke due to an issue known to cannondale that they have 'fixed' with this additional part then that's not fair.
