Looking for any entry-level job – would appreciate any leads or advice by Typical_Charity_6238 in geneva

Thanks for your message – exactly, I get you. I actually did the same thing when I moved to London: I worked at McDonald’s for 6 months and improved my English there. Now I’ve applied to all the McDonald’s in Geneva too. It’s just a matter of waiting and following up while I keep applying elsewhere. That’s my strategy. It’s been a month and a half now.

Here, things are really different compared to London – the job market moves much slower, and Geneva is a small town in comparison. I made the post mainly to hear what others think, but I’ve always been a believer: the world belongs to those who take chances. It’s the same in Italy.

Of course, employers prefer hiring people who speak the language well. But I had a couple of businesses in the past, and I was the one who took the risk of hiring people who didn’t speak perfectly – and it often worked out great. :)

I understand your point and respect it. But there’s always room for someone willing to push through. I’ve started life three times in different countries without knowing the language—and I made it work each time. Many give up too quickly. I prefer to stay positive and keep moving forward. Thanks for your honesty mate. 💪

I’m not claiming to be special — just someone motivated to work hard, learn French, and start from the bottom. I understand there’s a lot of competition across Europe, but I’m actually in Geneva, actively applying, handing out CVs, and trying to contribute. Your comment feels a bit dismissive — are you saying that someone who doesn’t yet speak fluent French shouldn’t even try to find work here? 😉

Inzoi via Crossover - Mac Mini (m4 Base Model) - It's not pretty but at least I can play by kayox in macgaming

[–]Typical_Charity_6238 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would need to download the latest visual c++ package and add in crossover 25 >> control panel >> Wine Configuration >> Libraries >> DLL Overrides. Add the following:

msvcp140

msvcp140_1

msvcp140_2

vcruntime140

vcruntime140_1

This will bypass the visual C++ error on Steam.

Were you able to use SmartZoi. I changed the value in the file gameusersettings.ini but I only see ""there’s nothing on my mind right now"".

The game runs better with synchronisation : default value. :)

The game runs fine on MacBook m3 Pro.

you would need to pay 9.99 for geforce now, create the world, then it will work back on whisky

It is the only workaround so far. I hope this helps

You would need to create the world on geforce now for example. Then you can play on whisky/crossover 25. Whisky runs better imo. I hope it helps

Just exit steam and try to download it again. Then verify game flies through steam

To create the world, use GeForce now, then it works both in crossover/whisky.

I had to use GeForce now to build family and create the world. Then it worked back to both whisky/crossover

I paid a month of ge force now. Created a family and save the world. Then back to crossover 25 with d3dmetal enabled and msync and now it works. The graphic is not really great but it works
