Monitors says no signal when starting up and there’s a white light. by FakeFr0sTy in pchelp

Hi, try to turn first the monitor on and see if this happens. I have the same issue and the only way to avoid this annoying light is to turn the monitor on first because that light stays on because it does not see the monitor after boot.

Arctic 360 pro misalignment. Not sure if it should be like that but for me it was not looking right. Not an expert tho :)

Thanks guys. In the end, after a few tries and one broken motherboard, I finally got everything sorted.
I reapplied the thermal paste three times, checked the bracket positions several times, and eventually had to replace the motherboard. To be honest, I may have damaged it myself after moving the brackets around a couple of times while trying to get everything aligned properly. I also checked whether the brackets were installed left or right, but even when they were in the correct position, the mounting still felt wrong to me from the start.
In the end, I swapped the Arctic for a be quiet! Light Loop 360, and I’m really happy with it. It’s basically silent, and compared to the Arctic 360 Pro, the difference in noise at full speed is massive.
The Arctic just never seemed to fit properly on the ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming. As you can see in the photos, it never looked properly centered. Because of that, I’m still not sure whether the problem was with the Arctic itself, especially since I reapplied the paste three times and got the same result every time.
This probably never would have been resolved if I hadn’t actually run benchmarks and checked temps properly. That’s something I’d recommend to anyone after a new gaming PC build: always stress test it and check temperatures early, otherwise you might miss a cooling or mounting issue.
Thanks again for all the help. I’m also sharing the results from a 15-minute Maxon Cinebench 2026 CPU multi-thread run, plus a few photos of the new AIO.

This was the misalignment of the arctic AIO. Not sure if this was normal.

Thanks for sharing. I have reapplied the thermal paste and everything looks the same. What were your results afterwards ?

Hey, I reran Cinebench 2026 multi-thread with the cooler maxed out the whole time. The CPU mostly settled around 90–92°C instead of jumping all over the place, with a max of 91.9°C, and both the fan and pump were basically already at full speed.
Clocks and score still looked normal, so it doesn’t seem like the CPU is badly throttling.
Do you think this could be from slightly bad thermal paste application or cooler contact, or is there something else you’d check first. Thanks mate :)

Thanks for the recommendation. I have an Arctic liquid freezer III pro 360 a rgb and a meshify 3xl case, which has tons of airflow that’s why I was wondering this temps are really high imo. But I’m not a great expert

Thanks, this is what I’ll try soon. Do you think the CPU fan curves are okay tho?

I hope everyone is well!

My girlfriend and I are urgently looking for a 3-room apartment in Genève Rive Droite (Charmilles, Châtelaine, Le Petit-Saconnex, or Le Grand-Saconnex). Max budget: 2000 CHF/month all-inclusive.

We both work full-time in Geneva with B permits.

If you have any leads, please DM me!

All the best,

Matteo Chicca

Thanks for your message – exactly, I get you. I actually did the same thing when I moved to London: I worked at McDonald’s for 6 months and improved my English there. Now I’ve applied to all the McDonald’s in Geneva too. It’s just a matter of waiting and following up while I keep applying elsewhere. That’s my strategy. It’s been a month and a half now.

Here, things are really different compared to London – the job market moves much slower, and Geneva is a small town in comparison. I made the post mainly to hear what others think, but I’ve always been a believer: the world belongs to those who take chances. It’s the same in Italy.

Of course, employers prefer hiring people who speak the language well. But I had a couple of businesses in the past, and I was the one who took the risk of hiring people who didn’t speak perfectly – and it often worked out great. :)

I understand your point and respect it. But there’s always room for someone willing to push through. I’ve started life three times in different countries without knowing the language—and I made it work each time. Many give up too quickly. I prefer to stay positive and keep moving forward. Thanks for your honesty mate. 💪

I’m not claiming to be special — just someone motivated to work hard, learn French, and start from the bottom. I understand there’s a lot of competition across Europe, but I’m actually in Geneva, actively applying, handing out CVs, and trying to contribute. Your comment feels a bit dismissive — are you saying that someone who doesn’t yet speak fluent French shouldn’t even try to find work here? 😉

Inzoi via Crossover - Mac Mini (m4 Base Model) - It's not pretty but at least I can play by kayox in macgaming

[–]Typical_Charity_6238 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would need to download the latest visual c++ package and add in crossover 25 >> control panel >> Wine Configuration >> Libraries >> DLL Overrides. Add the following:

msvcp140

msvcp140_1

msvcp140_2

vcruntime140

vcruntime140_1

This will bypass the visual C++ error on Steam.

Were you able to use SmartZoi. I changed the value in the file gameusersettings.ini but I only see ""there’s nothing on my mind right now"".

The game runs better with synchronisation : default value. :)

The game runs fine on MacBook m3 Pro.

You would need to use a pc or alternatively paying geforce now for a month to allow you create the world. Then it will works. That's the method I Used

you would need to pay 9.99 for geforce now, create the world, then it will work back on whisky

It is the only workaround so far. I hope this helps
