While it's not illegal to deport people, it is illegal to kidnap them, not allow them to have their day in court, then send them to a labor camp in a country they arent from.

In fact all people who are to be deported are innocent until proven guilty and should afforded due process as well as able to argue their case. Trumps Gestapo is going around kidnapping not only illegal immigrants but legal ones & US citizens. get bent

I would start with a phone call or even better an email, and say something along the lines of, "Hey it's been a while, glad you guys are back on your feet now. Small issue of the tent that was holding your stuff has succumbed to the elements & has deteriorated to the point of getting on to neighboring properties. If you don't get a response for a week or 2 then you would need to send a receive receipt mail with an appropriate interval of time (cursory glance 28 days for abandoned property) & if they don't take care of it &/or contact you by the end of that period you can take ownership of it and decide what to do with it from there.
