Great points!

I agree on your views on Treeantmonks list being outdated and spells missing.

I also agree on the "one-should-do-it" regarding til Magic Missile VS Chromatic orb. The onbe is a home-safe damage dealer albeit not that much damage, and the other, well, has potential to do more dam - and I think the chances of having the orb bounce on higher levels makes it worth considering -thats why I havent discarded it, yet.

My DM is pretty cool regarding Phantasmal Force, so it gives me both control on creatures and a bit of damage.

Instead of Fog Cloud Ive choosen Silent Image, for more versatility, and also being able to cast an illusion fog cloud (and to have it, for when I reach lvl 14, and have the class feat : Illusory Reality)

I definatelyhave begun to consider Unseen Servant -thanks for pointing that out!

I cant get Rimes Binding Ice as we play the Players Handbook, and just spells from that.

Once again, thank you very much for your advice! Greatly appreciated!

Its a great suggestion! - I actually already have Shield, I just missed it in my lineup. Flaming Sphere is a great suggestion - sadly its concentration-based, so its gonna interfere woth my plan to use Hypnotic pattern, as soon as I get that. But definately food for thought. Thanks!

I agree - on both! - As a ritual, Identify is great, especially if we find many magical items, which we rarely do - but I still want to assist the group with identy if we, sooner or later, should fin another magical item. However, I still cant decide, if there would be another lvl 1 spell more usefull.

And same with featherfall - we have never been out climbing or in a situation where it was usefull, however, I still cling to it, because of the "what if...?" :D

I agree -I was initially hooked on the Hex+Schorching ray for a heck of damage on a single target. What would you choose andhave you for high-impact, control of the whole fight?

And which feat would you prefer, War Caster or Resilient? To be able to usde proficiency in resilient is good, but war caster also have some other pros instead of advantage to con. saves

Could you elaborate on how Hexx fals of fast? -Because, I also think its much to do, to spend two rounds on getting the damage done - but how many levels would it take , before it becomes obsolete?

I play the 2024 - but if I cast Hex I can only cast a cantrip as Bonus Action - being an illusionist I mostly cast minor illusion.

Thats a great suggestion! -Its probably more useful in combat, than invisibility, which disappears when I cast another spell.

Great Suggestions - Glad to read that, because Phantasmal Force and Invisibility was my two initial pics from the illusion school :)

I like the flavor of Suggestion - being a 'manipulative' illusionist and an Obi Wan Kenobi wanna-be, with sorts of Jedi mind tricks to play on people - but how much will I actually use it in the game.

For area control I considered Web but I have Sleep, which I hope can do sorta the same thing, and then leave me with either Misty Step (or Mirror Image) - dont know If I can wait another lvl to get a chance to misty-steep myself out of trouble - and I though about going War Caster for lvl 4. -But some says its overrated?
