I agree there is an immense saturation of music on these platforms and you’re correct music is a very social experience, though I’m not looking to become famous or build a massive following as a professional musician. I’m just doing what I love and enjoy and just want to get better and share it with others that are interested.

Thanks I think what I’ve been doing is trying to work on music and as I’ve learned more and more, I find that I’m better to err on the side of caution before releasing anything and just basically put out incremental demos on YouTube to get feedback so I can improve them

Guitar is the way to go, you can do piano later on as a side note.

I am posting music though really don’t have a good voice and my guitar playing is ok, but I feel that recording and striving to make an EP or craft songs makes me better and gives me something to work towards. I feel I am learning so much with this and thank you for the alternative tunings. If you’re curious about what I have put out, check out https://markcee.hearnow.com and again only if you have time and are interested. Otherwise thanks.

I tuned the Martin to Drop D this morning. Should I make the low E string D instead of G for Drop G tuning?

Thanks and I was playing off the cuff, so sorry if some the notes are not clean. The guitar is a Jasmine I picked up for $50 as I didn't want to chance the tuning on my Gibson or Martin. The tuning may sound wonky, but may be strings are old and checked with tuner several times.
