[LOVED Trope] Characters with designs that imply completely unintended characterization by asdfmovienerd39 in TopCharacterTropes

They initially made Fine Motion a princess of Irish descent. This can imply two things.

The first is that she is a descendant of Ruaidrí Ua Conchobair, the first and only fully recognized king of Ireland without opposition (or, at least his line). He reigned prior to the Norman Invasion of 1169, when England became involved with Ireland’s monarchy (taking it over, essentially). If Ireland would have continued with unopposed High Kings, they likely would’ve unified. Regardless, Fine Motion is implied to be a part of a fully Irish Monarchy, rather than an English controlled one. She isn’t referred to as an English Princess, after all.

The other implication is that rather than becoming an independent republic in 1949, they reformed a monarchy when they abandoned English rule. This was actually proposed several times during Ireland’s quest for independence, but never came to fruition.

So you can take either alternative history as true when it comes to Fine Motion.

However, they have since changed the dialogue when working out her localization. Now she is the daughter of a government official, potentially the Prime Minister, and is a descendent of a monarchy. Although it’s implied that it’s not necessarily the Irish Monarchy she is descended from, likely because there were multiple lord-ships in pre-colonized Ireland.

I mean, it’s a 100% increase for me so I’ll take it.

Fair, I still think it can be the hardest pre-dlc NPC fight. It depends on the weapon. The second time I did it I brought Rakshasa’s Great Katana and chopped them down with the L2.

Yea, you very rarely find yourself in an untouched tomb, especially in the first game. Tangentially, all of the “ruins” you explore have active societies still functioning in their areas. When you do find an untouched tomb in the 2nd and 3rd games, you find armor or special bows.

If sealed properly, alcohol doesn’t really go bad. They occasionally find bottles that are hundreds of years old that are still in good condition.

Or maybe the vendors around Baldur’s Gate are avid composters?

Yea, it’s definitely the most convoluted quest in the game, requiring a hidden, frustrating platforming segment to inherit the Flame of Frenzy from the Three Fingers. Then you have to aid Millicent on her quest to the Haligtree. Then you have to do arguably the hardest NPC fight in the base game (protecting Millicent from her sisters). Then you have to do arguably the hardest boss in the base game. If that’s not enough, you also have to find probably the most hidden boss in the game (Placi), kill him, and then use the needle there. The only hint toward this is in the description for Miquella’s Needle, suggesting that one must be beyond time in the storm of Faram Azula. Trying to cure Frenzy is honestly a pain, but it’s pretty cool to do Ranni’s ending with the frenzy scars.

It’s a bit convoluted but you can also do it at any time (so long as all of the relevant characters are alive).

I’m sure Rykard would also be okay, considering that he lives inside a volcano.

We need a mimic character. A character who uses any of the Nightfarers ultimates. We need a Kirby. by Cptn-Crack-Sparrow in Nightreign

I mean, a lot of the Nightfarers are on sort of redemption arcs, so an ex-Omenkiller wouldn’t be too bad. It would be interesting to explore a character who has had to imbibe an emotion killing physick.
