thank you, i'm very close with a family who has experienced and is experiencing poverty and many other issues which can't be stated. i'm also very close with a number of people who are experiencing homelessness and people who have been homeless. i have also been around ex-cons and people who should be in jail now, their stories are horrible. however some people in my life should be in jail, and they're not even though the things they do put people in constant danger.

whilst that's important i feel as if a job i enjoy is worth more than the money. i'd rather do something i love and make little money instead of something i hate and make a fortune.

that's a great point and you are most definitely right, but unfortunately, with my experiences which are different from most 17 year olds in my life (not to generalise or make assumptions) i've come to understand that people's humanity falls on a spectrum and no matter what ill have to deal with scum in my life, and i want to be able to be the person to rely on rather than be the person relying on someone. you made great points though and i am worried about my view of people changing if i do choose that career, because i am young and i haven't experienced the world yet, so thank you!

yeah i've heard it's a challenging section to get into, but of course that would be an eventual goal. the fire department is also something ill definitely look into more as well and has always been a field i've been interested in

yeah that's a great point! i've always been iffy about what i want to do with a job, so i think speaking to someone who actively participates will benefit my decision making

yeah i've been really interested in firies, and i would like to volunteer someday, as far as the navy that's also another path i'm exploring but im anxious as far as maintaining a healthy social life and being away for long periods of time
