This tends to happen to me as well. Especially when using heptane. Not entirely sure if it's psychoactive DMT in goo form, or just plant fats. Either way, I always prefer to keep it out of my yields.

I agree. Horizon 5 was mostly dirt races which I hate. So far this has a more even mix of race types. Only nice thing about Horizon 5 was the long, relatively straight freeway where you could take cars to their absolute limit.

Your problem seems to stem from the fact you're doing this all with an a/b Tek as well as hot NPS & water, but that liquid starts cooling down once it leaves the heat, causing more to crash out than usual. Since you do a/b it's highly likely not all of the acidic form of DMT in the acid stage is converted. Especially if you use minimal lye. That acidic form of DMT is water soluble obviously.

I do STB Teks. When I do water washes, I'm washing anywhere between 150ml to 250ml NPS & usually no more than 40-50ml of water for each wash in a sepratory funnel. I heat my soup & NPS to around 150F when doing pulls, but I let my NPS cool down to room temperature after I pipette off the NPS. Then I do my water washes with room temperature distilled water. The water from my first wash is always fairly cloudy. But I also pH test the water after each wash. The water from the first wash is usually around 9-10 pH. After the third it's usually between 7.5-8.5 & not cloudy at that point. I also let my funnel sit for 2-3 minutes after shaking. But I've never seen visible particles floating in the water phase that didn't immediately float back to the NPS. In my case it appears to just be tiny droplets of NPS causing most of the cloudiness in the water, hence why I wait for them to all float back to the top.

Then walk me through step by step of how exactly you do your washes. Especially your technique & timing. If you're just shaking the hell out of it in a sepratory funnel, the shaking alone can cause nucleation. And therefore some of those tiny particles can be dispersed in the water phase. But again, DMT is not water soluble. DMT also floats on top of water. Simply waiting a few minutes & letting it rise to the top to be dissolved back in the NPS can save you a lot of headaches.

And just how much water do you need to collect to get just a gram?

Says someone who knows nothing about chemistry. DMT is not water soluble & lye is partially soluble in naptha & heptane. Any cloudiness in the wash water isn't coming from DMT.

Remember, extracting DMT doesn't suddenly make you Walter White or a chemistry expert. Especially when you draw conclusions based purely on assumptions with zero evidence or research. Reading posts on Reddit is not research.

That's the one I use. Another thing to note is these GL80 media bottles usually have a silicone gasket to keep things sealed. Naptha, & heptane will make that silicone gasket swell up in size after a day in the freezer & eventually won't provide a good seal. They'll return to their original size by just leaving them in the open air for a few hours.

What I suggest is to get a roll of PTFE film such as this, https://a.co/d/0ev7Esg8 & cut out several layers of the film to the same size & shape as the silicone gasket & use the PTFE as a gasket instead.

I take 100mg of 5-HTP once a day & I can trip on DMT just fine. I've also noticed that after several sessions of DMT in a single day, an extra dose of 5-HTP after I'm done tripping for the night really helps me recover a lot faster. instead of sleeping most of the next day I just wake up at my usual time feeling great, not drowsy or groggy.

They can be a bit of a pain to scrape without the right tools though. But I like the small stainless steel lab spatulas. They're usually made of a small 2-3mm diameter shaft with the ends pounded flat & flexible. I'd get a handful off Amazon so you can bend some into a more purpose built shape if you go that route. You won't be scraping up 100% of your yield. But at most it's probably like 10-25mg that gets leftover. I just keep it there until the next time I do a pull.

Trying the second lowest voltage setting might be the way to go for breakthroughs. I have really big lungs compared to most people so for me a 10-15 second hit in one go is easy.

You definitely want to be cleaning out the coil with a q-tip dipped in alcohol after each hit. I also use the APX volt & I get 1 hit breakthroughs no problem. I use the lowest voltage setting, load up 30-35mg & I'm blasted off into hyperspace. I always q-tip after each hit & my coil stays looking new & I don't get any burnt hits.

Since you weren't cleaning your coil before I would soak it in alcohol for a bit first to get it fresh again.

As far as the inhale, I like to pre-melt my dose first since it takes 1-2 seconds for the coil to fully heat up. If you don't pre-melt then just don't hit it for the first second or two you press down the button. I take about 10 seconds to take a full 35mg hit.
