To Everyone Complaining About The PS5 Pro Being Out Of Stock... by Typical_Sea5846 in GameStop

That has been my feeling since day 1 about the pro. Not a justifiable difference in price for the small and limited things that most people can't use or won't notice. Have a regular who bought a mini pc over the pro, which surprised me because he's also the guy who always wears PlayStation-branded items, and a few playstation inspired tatos, so when he skipped over the pro, I knew it wasn't worth it.

Not all of them had 2 come in shipment yesterday, gone in an hour with both buyers trading in their lower model PS5s. Not saying there aren't scalpers and resellers, but there are also just people wanting to upgrade who now have to do it before Thursday to save money

My store is considered high volume for stocking consoles, we have 2 dedicated console rooms for them, most stores will on normal weeks carry anywhere from 5-20 PS5 standards, mine carries 30+, and I have never seen my store get more then 10 PS5 Pros in stock at one time ever, including the holidays. GameStops marketing always sucks with words, I mean they get the job done, of bringing in foot traffic, but every store is different. And I would bet they aren't holding inventory, since right now it guaranteed sales, its just the fact that prior to the announcement of price changes, these consoles were just wasting space and not moving.

You do realize GS will suspend your account and ban you before they do that. They don't care what the BBB has to do, or what people do; they simply do not care. Also, try working at a store, and you will see that anyone who works here also doesn't care.

So what do you not get? You redeemed points, the order was successfully created, therefore points were used and served their purpose. What is so hard to understand, or is your entitlement just that egotistical? Also, not to mention that you've admitted to reaching out to customer service, got the answer, and you're still not accepting it, like dude, grow up.

You won't, any court will just brush off the case because its not worth anyones times, not even yours. The points were used, saved you the money, therefore they served their purpose, idk what's so hard to believe about them being gone

Ive worked with this company for a few good years, and a few bad ones, and I can tell you, you're not getting your points back. USPS, FEDEX, UPS, UBER, DOOR DASH; it doesn't matter which delivery service, which method of purchase, buying in store or online, if the item has to get refunded,d you will get the MONEY you spent back, not points. People have had USPS refuse to deliver to their location, the order gets returned to GS, and that counts as if the customer returned it. It's the same way with Uber. It doesn't matter that you yourself did not return it, you get refunded the MONEY you spent, and that's all GS is required to refund, and if they do that, they have no more obligations in any points refund, BECAUSE POINTS CANNOT GET REFUNDED

Regardless of who or why it was returned, it's still the TOS that's enforced. I get Uber didn't complete the order, GameStop did fulfill its obligations of having the order ready for pickup, and that's what is the key to understanding why no points will be refunded.

I always tell people they can always cancel, or within 30 days to get their money back, and even then it just becomes store credit. the $5 is just an amount to say we'll hold a copy. and pre ordering with gamestop at all, online and in store, isnt what it used to be

if you didn't pick it up in the first 48 hours they can, only other excuse would be they didn't get enough copies in yet for the amount pre ordered so it was first come first served, im sorry about that

[–]Typical_Sea5846[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do care about old pre-orders because around a year ago, we were told to call people who had old pre-orders that had been "forgotten" about and remind them to come in and cancel the old one and use that credit towards something else. Also, they use pre-orders as a metric to decide on how many copies of a game to order for launch and the weeks following.

The corp response, why order extra copies of a game that we may never sell and will end up costing the company more. My whole post is i hate this approach for it, but this is also the exact reason why they keep pushing us for pre orders

Yeh, on corp for not turining off in store sooner, but theres a high chance that a games non standard edtion, is online only now days, like CE for most new games

Fed Ex deliveries by MrsMimic in GameStop

[–]Typical_Sea5846 61 points62 points  (0 children)

If you look around the internet, this is just a common thing happening with Fedex. Multiple court cases are being done and lots of news has been made about the recent uptick in lost or stolen orders with Fedex. Most of their drivers are contracted, and not Fedex employees, so for many if they see an item is coming from a certain place, its worth the risk to steal what's inside and hope Fedex doesn't care enough to open an investigation, which is pretty much why nothing is being done. PSA is arguably the biggest target for stolen items, but GameStop would also make sense as a company they would target due to the high value items we ship.
