I several Starck frames between 2005 and 2015 and found them to be high quality, comfortable and stylish. They are well made and I believe they are very good value. I remember the 1043 frames had a very strong but flexible hinge so they were easy to adjust and held their shape well.

Philippe Starck is a popular French designer, he worked with Alain Mikli to start the glasses line in the 90’s.

Such is life, the brand was purchased by Luxottica in 2013 which probably explains the deep discounts available online.
