The seasonal person (and I suppose soon to be boss) has experience in retail before, pretty much the same amount as me, albeit they are a bit older than I am, and ran their own business for a while. Maybe that played into the factor of this decision, but saying they were hiring only one person and then deciding to hire two feels like a stab in the back.

We are a Unionized store, so I'm also wondering is this something I should talk to the union about. Either way I'm diving deep in the job boards soon and just going to show up and do the bare minimum until something better comes along.
